Is Cheryl Cole annoying any one else by always crying?

I really cant stand her and Danni , bring back Sharon

X Factor Xtra is much better, I hope Holly co-presents the live shows with Dermot

I can't stand Cheryl crying when a contestant comes in with a sob story. I really miss Sharon too. I was a bit weary when they announced Holly as a presenter but she does a very good job, it is fun to watch her and Dermot.

Cheryl Cole has been told which category she is mentoring on The X Factor – and she's chuffed to bits.

The Girls Aloud star is not yet allowed to say who she'll be looking after, but it's thought she's been given the groups.

‘I really want to get the groups,’ she said previously. ‘There have been so many brilliant groups auditioning.’

And now 25-year-old Cheryl has been told which category she has, she reveals: ‘I’ve definitely got the category I wanted.'

And 48-year-old Simon Cowell’s girlfriend Terri Seymour reckons Cheryl may be victorious this year.

‘Cheryl’s fantastic,’ she tells The Sun. ‘Simon told me: “She’s the best judge I’ve worked with, she’s a natural. She just gets it."’

I don't think she can really help the crying when all these sob stories are thrown at her to be fair. They really need to be banned though, there should be a rule where every contestant should not be allowed to mention anything about their personal life or family problems or whatever, its got nothing to do with what the competition is about.
    Happy New Year SoapBoards!

My niece told me that they actively sought out the sob stories during the audition process.

She got through the 3 rounds of auditions with the producers before being thrown out by the judges.

I have to say I am horrified that the producers push all the mentally ill and delusional folks to the TV rounds. It is the modern equivalent of putting mentally ill people or disabled people in cages to be laughed at by the general public.

thats awful, i know someone who went to one audition and got binned by the producers, when do they film the huge crowd scenes with dermot and holly, because its obvious the judges only see a minority of people??

She only got through because of her sob story she wasnt that good

I dont think contestants should be allowed speak about their lives they should only be judged on their singing

I think she has a good voice but would like to hear her perform a different song before making my mind up. I agree that contestants should not speak about their lives trying to gain sympathy votes to get through

Cowell loves it though. The show is dramatised so much, especially the sad stories. The sad music starts playing, and the camera slows down and the contestant is seen crying.

I remember what Andi Peters said about the original Gladiators; that the producers loved it if somebody got injured and even better if the stretcher had to come out because it dramatised it and kept the viewers hooked.

Cowell is a very good producer and a sob story gives him what he needs to sell The X Factor to the masses because we love an underdog.
