It's probably only a small thing in view of what might happen later this week, but this whole storyline with Jase has been completely undermined in my opinion by the fact that somehow they think they are going to be able to afford the house in Essex.

Firstly, how, on Earth, does Dawn think they will ever get enough money together to afford it. It must be at least half a million pounds, probably nearer a million.

Secondly, even if Jase got away with the whole £100,000 (even without giving Billy some), he still wouldn't be able to buy the house. He would still need an enormous mortgage and how is he going to show the bank or building society that he will be able to afford the repayments.

It is just so completely and totally unrealistic that the scenario of buying the house just spolis the rest of it for me.

i agree that they would never be able to afford that house, even with the £100,000 as they would never be able to afford the rest of it. and im not sure why dawn thinks she should live in a house like that, its not like nearly everyone else in the country has a house like that!

I don't think he has plans to buy the house, just saying this to dawn to keep her happy.. come on, where does Dawn think he will get the money?? is she that stupid to think his "decorating" business really makes that amount of money?? and she is spending it like there is no tomorrow..

i agree, i dont think dawn was going to buy that house, i think he was just agreeing so dawn would stop going on about it, i think he had too much on his mind about this "job" so he didnt want to have an argument about it so thought it easier to agree with her

Yes it is not that people with decent jobs can afford a place like that. Dawn needs admitting to some hospital for a lobotomy. She cannot be serious. Even if it is all fantasy and wishful thinking. She must realize that Jase is out on a limb for her.

Loved Shirley's comment last night about Jase kicking a football around the park doesn't make Dawn a footballers wife (or something to that effect).. Loved her dress but there is other important things she could spend that money on like her daughter or Jay.. why does people spend so much on a dress that they only wear for 1 day???

last nights epi was ok, liked the billy and jase scenes, thought it was quite funny when jase drove off and billys foot was still hanging out the car lol! thought what shirley said was quite harsh seeing as it was dawns hen night but she was only saying what weve all been thinking! even though dawn is very selfish and money obsessed, i did feel a bit sorry for her when no one showed up. the vinnie and callum scenes were really boring, both characters are annoying and i really cant see how someone like callum would have 3 girls on the go at once, its not like hes irresistible!

totally agree about Callum... he has a very small head (think thats what puts me off him) ... but I still think Shirley was right.. even thought it was Dawn hen's night, she still needed to hear the truth as the girl is totally disillusioned, she needs a wake up call and a slap round the head (and she doesn't have a small one so plenty to whack )
