    Chemistry - B (BBC)
Maths - C (CCB) (I was expecting to fail so was really pleased again)

Got an A in general studies too but I'm not really counting that

I was a bit worried about them so I'm glad thats over, just got to concentrate on this year and uni now cos I really want to got to dundee so i need three B's and I'm keeping all 4 main subjects so I know I have some hard work ahead of me
well done squillyfer you must be quite clever to get a B in physics and chemistry! i know so many people who failed chemistry, its meant to be really hard

But, I think considering what's happened in the last year, just still actually being alive is good enough!
    congrats vikki

I didn't do brilliant but it's nothing that I can't sort out and boost in resits

    R.E- C (DBD in modules)
    English Language- D (ECC)
English Literature- D (DDD)... but I did do better in my resit by 13 marks which I was pleased about
Biology- U (guess which subject I'm dropping) (UUE)

I was expecting to ail them all... so I'm pleased with my grades. I would have liked to carry on with Biology but I did badly in all 3 modules and I don't want to be resitting a whole subject when I can boost my marks by resitting 1 or 2 modules of the englsih subjects. I'm happy with RE so I think I will leave it as it is because even though I want to do well in my AS I can't forget that next year is A Levels so I don't want to forget about them and focus all my work on AS if you get what I mean? Haha. Oh well I'm pleased
Biology has to be one of the hardest A level subjects around. Two of my friends are really clever and were predicted As in all of their subjects and came out with an E and a U Shame I failed my biology A level, I thought I hadn't done too bad on the A2 exams. Oh well, all over with now
i agree with you there, i took biology alevel and got an E, nearly everyone in my year who took biology got Es and Ds and some of them were really clever. it must be one of the hardest, i found it so much more difficult than any of my other subjects

anyone who gets a B in Critical Thinking deserves a medal! that it officially the hardest and most boring subject ever! i have a lot of respect for your sister lol!
thanks lol! she got a D at AS so she did well to get a B this year i took general studies instead and i know critical thinking was harder than that but didnt know how much harder (although tbh everythings harder than general studies its that easy lol!)

1 - Can you re-sit GCSE's while doing AS levels?

2 - Also say I got a C in Maths and I wanted to take it for AS level (min grade B).. And they allowed me to do so.. Can I re-sit my Maths GCSE while learning Maths AS level?

    Thanks
i think it differs betweens schools/colleges spicy. i dont think either of the schools i went to (the one i did my gcses at or the one i did my alevels at) let you retake your gcses there, if you wanted to retake them you had to do it in your own time at the college. with doing maths at AS, most subjects at AS require you to get a B at gcse, however in some cases the school/college might let you take the subject if you get a C but probably wouldnt if you got anything lower than a C (at the school i did alevels at you had to get a B to do biology but one of the boys got to do it with only a C at gcse although he was the only one who was allowed to). the best thing to do spicy is if you want to retake any of your gcses or if you only get a C in maths, once youve got your results, on the same day go to the school/college where youre going to do your alevels and talk to them about it, theyll let you know if they will let you retake your gcses while doing alevels and if they will allow you to take AS maths with only a C, depending on the circumstances they might let you. but obviously every place is different so your best bet is to ask about it straight away. dont worry about it though til you get your grades, good luck

With regards to resitting GCSEs: my 6th form allow us to retake english and/or maths only. It takes up one period a week and you can take four AS or 3 A levels beside it. The teachers go through the areas that people didn't do well on and concentrate on getting those right instead of teaching the whole course in a year. I think only intermediate level is taught (pretty much everyone who does higher pass anyway) as C is the minimum required for universities/employers.
    Thanks CrazyLea

Intermediate has been scrapped. Last year was the last year that could do that, as you can now get a C on Foundation.
