Edith Bowman has given birth to a baby boy.

The Radio 1 DJ and her partner, Editors frontman Tom Smith, welcomed their son, Rudy Brae Bowman Smith, at London's Portland Hospital.

Earlier in the year, Bowman admitted that a heart condition could put her life at risk during labour. Her child was born through a Caesarean section.

Radio 1 controller Andy Parfitt said: "Everyone at Radio 1 sends their love and best wishes to Edith and Tom."

Bowman began presenting the Radio 1 afternoon slot in 2003. She has also hosted Top Of The Pops, the BBC's Glastonbury coverage and appeared on Fame Academy.

Jessica Alba has given birth to a baby girl.

Usmagazine.com reports that Honor Marie Warren was born on June 7 in Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, which was confirmed by her representative.

This is Jessica and husband Cash Warren's first child.

The website reports that Cash was overheard saying "she's beautiful" about his new baby, while he was spotted bringing food into the hospital's maternity unit on Sunday.

Jessica, 27, and Cash, 31, quietly tied the knot last month in Beverly Hills after meeting on the set of Jessica's film Fantastic Four.

Before the birth, the actress told Fit Pregnancy magazine what kind of parent she will be. "I don't want to be my child's best friend. I want to be a mom," she said.

"But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it's going to be about treading that line."

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott welcome daughter Stella Doreen

Actress Tori Spelling, 35, and her husband Dean McDermott have welcomed their second child together. Daughter Stella Doreen McDermott was born at 3:13 pm PT today,[9th June] Monday, June 9th, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. She weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz, is 19 and 3/4 inches long, and her middle name is after Dean's late mother. Tori's rep stated,

She's a healthy baby girl. Tori and baby are resting comfortably.

Stella joins big brothers Liam Aaron, 15 months this week, and Jack, 9, from Dean's previous marriage.

The pregnancy was rumored in January, but Tori never officially confirmed -- instead, she was photographed with her pregnant belly out! She revealed the sex in March and posed for the cover of People. In May, Tori celebrated her baby shower.

Madonna has dismissed claims that she has hired a divorce lawyer.

The singer was reported to have to taken on British attorney Nicholas Mostyn QC as part of divorce proceedings against husband Guy Ritchie.

Mostyn's previous clients include Heather Mills, Earl Spencer and footballer Ray Parlour.

However, Madonna's representative slammed the rumours, telling the London Paper that they are "completely untrue".

The couple married in 2000 and Ritchie is step-father to the popstar's daughter Lourdes, 11. They also have seven-year-old son Rocco and adopted two-year-old David Banda.

Peter Andre has been named father of the year in a poll voted for by UK mothers.

The 35-year-old husband of glamour model Katie Price beat David Cameron and Gordon Brown in a survey by the Daddies Sauce ketchup brand.

Andre has two children with Price, two-year-old Junior and 11-month-old Princess Tiaamii. He is also stepfather to Price's six-year-old son Harvey.

Andre revealed that he was "not even halfway there" when it comes to having more children.

He said: "For the last couple of years, I've been saying that if there's any kind of award I could win it would be dad of the year. I'm over the moon.

"For me this is as good as it gets. And that's how I know my life has changed that much."

Originally the central characters were twins Brandon (played by Jason Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (played by Shannen Doherty), who moved with their parents, Jim and Cindy, from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Beverly Hills. However, during the show's run, the focus shifted as characters came and went.
