oh right. when i did my gcses 4yrs ago (that makes me sound old lol!) the boundaries were 20% C, 40% B, 60% A, 80% A*. obviously Ds werent included but id guess that if you got just over 50% you should probably be fine to get a B (dont know for definite though). im sure you did fine though if you think it went ok
They're a rough guide. What happens is, after all the papers have been marked the examiners get together and discuss the results and where they think the exact grade boundaries should be. It also depends on how hard the paper is. If candidates found it easy and scored high then the grade boundaries will be set high. Last year's physics A2 paper was hard compared to other years so the grade boundaries were lower for that paper than they had been in previous years.

My brother in law is taking my car. He has to commute to Newcastle everyday so I'm going to be without a car because it'll be 70 miles away at his house. Everybody else seems to use my car except me. My sister is still on the insurance even though she's got her own car, my dad uses it to take rubbish to the tip and now my BIL is using it for work
    Thanks CrazyLea

How long will your BIL use your car? How do you get around yourself? I hope he will show his appreciation when he no longer needs it - if he wants to buy you a Ferari as a thank you gift, don't be shy and say "no"

I don't know how long he will have it. He was promised a company car (he's in the army) because he lives in Catterick so has to commute a fair way. When he got to work this morning in his own car he was told that there is no company car.

I live on the outskirts of town so I don't venture out much except to school which is about 10 mins away. The nearest cash machine and shop is a mile away. My dad drives and my sister lives four miles away so if I need a lift somewhere then I can ask one of them.

I think a ferarri is pushing it but I'll have his Audi A4 avant sport version car.

Which reminds me that I need to sort out some transport back from my leavers' do tomorrow night. The venue is two miles away and I don't fancy walking home at 1am. I doubt my dad will turn out for me when he's been at work until 11pm.

So he actually has got a car himself? Why is he not using it?

He has got a car. A very nice car that likes petrol very much. He can't afford to go to Newcastle everyday in it because of the cost of petrol at the moment. My car does a lot more miles to the gallon so it won't cost as much to run. Only trouble is my car is going to clock up 500 miles every week Better on mine which is 12 years old than on his three year old Audi I guess.

Leavers' do tonight I can't wait, I haven't been out since new year's eve. Luckily Stalker Boy won't be there tonight.

The revision session for Biology wasn't much help. BUt on the way back my friend and I managed to revise a bit of biology by getting Eastenders into a discussion about recessive alleles.

I'm just doing Philosophy past questions now. I'm doing the essay part. I'm trying to do them by my 'own knowledge'. (Haven't cheated so far ) I'm using Borat as inspiration for how someone acts during a religious experience. Who says TV never taught us anything

Some people are coming for a commitee meeting tonight. (Dads Rotary) Better stock up on food they don't like us coming in to get stuff Better clear up the sitting room as well. It's like a tip in here my papers are everywhere

This Saturday it's the Kew Guild dinner. Yes it's as boring as it sounds. Also means I won't get to watch Indiana Jones until Sunday/Monday!
