Tanya had a reason, Max cheated on her repeatedly, and the last affair was with his son's girlfriend, Steven has no reason to do anything he does because everybody treats him nicely, I think there is a difference. Not that I condone Tanya's action, mind. Can't remember anybody saying they hate Steven, some of us are just glad he is leaving but I suspect that might be more to do with the storyline (OTT to say the least - my opinion) rather than the character himself.

I am glad you do not hate Steven and reading through this thread I see someone quoted what I said on the Appreciation Thread but where would they find that quote if they did not look on the apprecition thread? I am sorry if you found that offensive. It was just an offhand remark that didn't really mean anything.

Leo, Demi Miller's boyfriend was not 18 but got killed off with a drug overdose. Jamie Mitchell was around 18 when he got killed by Martin Fowler driving a car he shouldn't have. That is just in EE, could mention more from othr soaps.

People treat me nicely in real life but it doesn't mean I don't have my problems. Steven probably has his problems too. As Stacey once said everyone has problems and I don't mean "problems" as in not being mentally well though in Steven's case that is true of him.

I forgot about Jamie but Demi's boyfriend did overdose on heroin with the intention of self slaughter but since Aaron has confirmed Steven will not die I think that it is pretty likely he will not. Even then very few compared to older people who have died - Den, Pauline, Joe, Steve, Dennis etc so the likelihood is small.
