I know Steven and Lucy are very close and if Lucy were to contact anyone it would be Steven but Steven can't really be blamed for helpiing Lucy I suppose and if she made him promise not to tell Ian and Jane where she is what can he do? I can't hate him. I can't condone if he does wrong but if this is true I think he needs a bit more help.

Totally agree with you Siobhan. And how can Steven and Lucy be close when he tortured her with pictures and letters etc. of her dead mother and shot her step-mother? And I am not that convinced that it was an accident like most people on here seem to think. If he did not want to shoot anybody he should not have had a gun in his hand in the first place. Lucy just saw Steven as a tool to get her way with Ian in my opinion.

I don't think most people on here do think it was an accident. I've always said why did he take the gun to the flats in the first place? Nobody made him do it and it makes not a jot of differance whether Lucy gave him the gun or not - he did not have to have it on his person when he took Lucy to see Ian.

It was ages ago that he pretended to be Cindy. Lucy knows he was unwell then and they are close because she was the one he confessed to. I loved that scene in the dining room when Lucy made him understand that his behaviour wasn't normal. As for the gun - it was definitely accidental. He was trying to kill himself remember and they all tried to stop him - with all four struggling over a gun of course it went off. Its true Lucy used Steven to get at Ian by inviting him to her party etc. Steven tried to hand the gun in but backed out because he was ill and confused.

Well he is still slightly unstable and if he thought Lucy needed to stay away until things calmed down...that's what Stacey told him to do and hes likely to misconstrue that...besides didn't Little Mo know where Zoe was when Zoe ran away and she didn't say anything for a while?
