when Sean first arrived in the square it was to catch up with an old army buddy who double crossed him and won the victory cross.. he took him out to a field and that is the last we seen of that guy... so I am going assume it was him

Could be that Jean abused him, but I don't think she would be like that! Maybe he is GAY !!

I can't imagine Jean having abused him, I reckon he is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, something to do with his army past.

I know that was a shock, maybe thats why his is off with Jean, cos did Jean go manic depressive after her husband died, and maybe Sean feels guilty that he did this to her
