I didn't know you could get co-codamol over the counter. The 8/500 knock me out so I'd better not get 30/500.

Thanks CrazyLea
I didn't really make myself clear, sorryI'm not taking it for contraception, just to make my periods lighter because when I have them they really affect my life, I don't go out at all etc..
I just wondered if taking the pill before my period started would cause me to either have it early or delay it, it's just I'm going to Germany next week, and starting the pill on the day of my period would mean I would be in Germany and be in total hell for 4 days![]()
By the other one I meant asking the doctor about delaying it until I get back from Germany.

Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.
argh, my pains this time arent really like OWW! It just makes me feel weak and tired all the time, like really faint
A lot would depend on whether you were already taking a form of oral contraceptive (for whatever reason) and on how your body reacts to the hormones contained.
I've recently been put on a new form of mini pill and have benn on for the past 3 weeks. They all act differently with different people unfortunately, so you won't know till you start taking it.

Thanks, I think I'll go to the doctor tommorow and ask about it because I'm starting to stress out over this...I've also never been on the pill so I'd rather delay it and see how my body reacts to the pill over half term rather than a holiday.
I've been looking online and apparantley you can be prescribed
Norethisterone tablets which you take 5mg, three times a day, three days before the period is due.
This is the best website I looked at, in case anyone else wants to have a look http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23069068/

Yeah I sort of get that, especially under the bum/thigh area I feel like I been working out on a muscle I haven't used in a good few months! Lasts the first two days then it usually disappears.
If I eat alot of chocolate a week before my period then I get stomach pains otherwise it just feels like I'm slighlty hungry..
Woo I got itBring on Germany
I'm going to go tommorow to pick up the prescription. When I get back from Germany I will just start on the pill as planned.
Have to take the tablets 3 times a day though...I'm going to have to set reminders on my phoneor get my friend to be my personal medication reminder

Pfft. Talk about a crazy body clock. 5 days early![]()
I went to pick up my prescription anyway, it lasts until 2010 so I'll save it for a rainy day
Took the pill as I was going to, seems alright so far...less pain, less everything...which is wierd because I've only taken one and also by now I would be well...uncomfy..
anyhow, I'll be off when I go to Germanyand I'll only have to remember to take one pill a day
