Apparently there was a clip on This Morning on ITV this morning, of Clare's death...did anyone see it? It is gonna be a whodunnit, apparently the suspects are going to be Louise, Calvin, Max, Warren or Justin..i can't wait!

On This Morning, it also said
    Spoiler:
Clare will call social services about Tom
shortly before she dies, increasing the suspect list.

Also mentioned on the Digital Spy forums, members have said Calvin and Louise become suspects because
    Spoiler:
Clare manages to persaude Louise to abort her baby.

Here is the link to the clip shown on This Morning:

It's not been said whether she dies or not, just that she is pushed.

The latest rumours on the Clare storyline that i've heard on the DS forums:

    Spoiler:
Clare does not die from her fall.

She tells the police it was Warren who pushed her from the balcony, however it wasnt him. She tells the police its him to get him out the way.

She has a bigger and more evil plan for the one who did push her which will led to the exit of a least one Hollyoaks star.

    Sounds interesting...

    Gemma Bissix Interview

EXCLUSIVE: Gemma Bissix: "I'm back home"
    Friday, February 1 2008, 14:20 GMT

    By Kris Green, Soaps Editor

Tonight's episode of EastEnders sees Gemma Bissix return to her Walford roots – and she couldn't be happier about resurrecting her character Clare Bates.

Clare – who was last seen in Albert Square nearly 10 years ago – makes a dramatic reappearance when she is thrown out of a car into the market.

Speaking of her return, the 24-year-old former Hollyoaks actress exclusively told DS: "I'm ecstatic. It really is fantastic. Clare's a deeper character [than Clare was in Hollyoaks] - I've got more scope with her and it's more of a challenge. I'm back home; I live with my best friend and I get to go home and see my family. It couldn't be better at the moment."

It soon becomes obvious that Clare has no money and nowhere to stay, so she attempts to find a familiar face in the form of Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). When she learns from Dot Branning (June Brown) that Ian has quite an 'empire', Clare takes more than a keen interest in the entrepreneur.

Speculating about her character's apparent air of mystery, Gemma said: "As far as mystery's concerned, I know she's not seen Nigel for a while – for about two or three years – and I know she went off to uni and has had a lot of jobs since.

"Her mystery comes from the fact that she's never felt settled. Her mother died, her father was abusive and she doesn't even know him. She's never felt like she's fitted in. Clare's 'mystery' is brought about by her looking for that father figure and needing that kind of attention, which then leads her into preying on the men of Walford."

She continued: "That's how she makes her money. Her forté is finding men with money and using her assets to entice them and rip them off – she even has a little black book to keep track of them!"

After nearly a decade away from EastEnders, Gemma revealed that she had a lot of catching up to do with Clare's story: "Myself, Diederick [Santer] and Dominic [Treadwell-Collins] had a characterisation session and we discussed what Clare's been doing and how she's got to where she is now."

She added: "Her back story has played a big part in how I'm developing the character."

Clare Bates returns to our screens in tonight's episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 8pm.

Clare was only brought back to Eastenders because Gemma was doing very well in Hollyoaks and she won a British Soap Award.

I think Gemma should have stayed in Hollyoaks
