My friend did not, she is still as slim as ever and has been using them for quite a few years now and she is stuffing herself with chips and chocolate Obviously depends on your genes.

I didn't put on any weight or lose any weight when I was on the pill but I was ill all the time.. My niece was on injection and she lost weight.. it really does depend on you. I know loads who have been great on the injection and myself and another girl were both very very ill and moody so we had to stop..

Both of my sisters and two of my friends have been on the pill and all of them put lots of weight on.

I have to see the doctor soon for a review so I might ask her about it then. I don't want to stay on hormone contraceptives for too long as my sisters reacted badly to them, both developed PCOS, my eldest sister had to have an ovary removed and the other one has gynae problems from the hormones.
    Thanks CrazyLea

Let me know what they say if you do go.
I talked to my mum and she's making an appointment for Wednesday, I'll let you know how it goes
Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.

I wouldn't recommend the injection - I had it for a year and bled for that entire year!

I had the implant, and also bled constantly with that.

Some people are less sensitive to progesterone therefore causing the extra bleeding.

The pill affects everyone in different ways and unfortunately its mostly trial and error - I'm gradually running out of options.

One thing I have found, apologies in advance for too much information, is that tampon use worsened my period pain. I've been now using a mooncup and since then, have had no problems with pain at all - some people have said some medical info has said that some of the chemicals used in sanitary wear can cause the pain to worsen, although not sure how true that is.

For you ladies that wish to delay your period for holidays etc, definitely speak to your doctor. They can provide you with a pill (as previously posted) that will delay your period whilst you are taking the tablets.
