Do you know - somethings are just not fair!!! I put on pounds if i even think about having chips. Chocolate is however medicine so that doesn't count!
I didn't put on any weight or lose any weight when I was on the pill but I was ill all the time.. My niece was on injection and she lost weight.. it really does depend on you. I know loads who have been great on the injection and myself and another girl were both very very ill and moody so we had to stop..
Super Mod
Both of my sisters and two of my friends have been on the pill and all of them put lots of weight on.
I have to see the doctor soon for a review so I might ask her about it then. I don't want to stay on hormone contraceptives for too long as my sisters reacted badly to them, both developed PCOS, my eldest sister had to have an ovary removed and the other one has gynae problems from the hormones.
Thanks CrazyLea
i dont know if anyone has mentioned it, but have you tried the heat pads you can get from any supermarket i think. But they really help! Just dont put the sticky side on your tummy like i first did haha! but i suggest the heat pad and chocolate! cant go wrong x
I wouldn't recommend the injection - I had it for a year and bled for that entire year!
I had the implant, and also bled constantly with that.
Some people are less sensitive to progesterone therefore causing the extra bleeding.
The pill affects everyone in different ways and unfortunately its mostly trial and error - I'm gradually running out of options.
One thing I have found, apologies in advance for too much information, is that tampon use worsened my period pain. I've been now using a mooncup and since then, have had no problems with pain at all - some people have said some medical info has said that some of the chemicals used in sanitary wear can cause the pain to worsen, although not sure how true that is.
For you ladies that wish to delay your period for holidays etc, definitely speak to your doctor. They can provide you with a pill (as previously posted) that will delay your period whilst you are taking the tablets.
This may sound like a silly question.. but.. what's a mooncup?
I knew I'd be asked that but its not a silly question at all hun - I didn't know what it was either to start with:

Its the same as a tampon basically, but collects as opposed to soaks up.....
