    Wisdom teeth

argh i hate wisdom teeth since i was at school so nearly 4 years ago, i had my wisdom teeth growing. it annoyed me and really irritated and hurt the first few months and the dentist said if i continue to suffer with it hell remove them. well i didnt have any pain for ages the occasional pain here and there but nothing to write home about. anyway i went to the dentist a few years (i know theres a good reason why its years ) ago and the dentist decieded hed keep his finger on my top right wisdom tooth and chat to my mum who was xplaining her fear of dentists so i ended up throwing up all over the surgery how emmbarassing!! i went back a few months after for a check up and he couldnt get a proper xray as i have a very weak stomach and cant hold the board thing in my mouth long enough for the xray to take place without my toungue pushing the board out. Anyway the point to this tread, my bottom wisdom tooth has a hole there now and its rather painfull. i want all 4 of them out so i dont have to keep suffering only problem is i know i cant have it done at the dentist because i cant have the xray or stay awake through being sick. i dont have a phobia of the dentist at all its not that that bothers me. i wondered if anyone can help with any advice to having wisdom teeth out through hospitals and where to start really? and do you have to pay if you have it done in a hopsital many thanks in advance.

You will have to pay full price if there is no medical reason why you need to have them all out. I don't know if you are an NHS patient or private, I think some NHS treatment is supplemented.

Your dentist will refer you to a hospital if he thinks it is necessary to have them removed under a general anaesthetic.
    Thanks CrazyLea

I am not sure any dentist is going to remove a healthy tooth but you should get the one with the hole in it repaired before the pain will get too bad for you. Discuss your discomfort with your dentist, he should advise you what is best for you.
