How the American Writers Strike is affecting us..
I don't know if this is the right place to put this....
Article from Heat:
With no deal in sight to end the TV and writers strike, all our favourite US TV dramas and comedies are in a state of turmoil. The writers have been striking for two months, and most big US series have halted filming before they were even halfway through their current runs. But how will this affect the shows, and how soon will we get to see them? Let us explain...
Ugly Betty
Channel 4 has shown all the episodes of the second series that have been filmed (ten of 23) and the show is now on a hiatus until the strike ends. As soon as they get back to work and film new episodes, C4 will show them.
Desperate Housewives
Was due to start it's fourth series on Channel 4 at the start of January, but it has now postponed the run until March at the earliest..
Lost
The 16-episode fourth series of Lost will begin earlier than scheduled in the US (Jan 31, to be precise), although the plan to show all 16 in a row has been scuppered by the strike. Only 8 are ready and Sky One will screen them from Sunday 3 Febuary.
Heroes
The second year of Heroes was alwaus designed to be split, and US viewers have seen the self-contained story arc of the first 11 episodes. UK viewers will see them on BBC2 later in the year, although the second half of the season has yet to be filmed.
House
Nine episodes of House have been filmed and shown on US TV, and Five will start broadcasting them on March 20. Beyond that, they're desperately hoping the strike is resolved!
24
24 faced a double whammy - the writers' strike and Kiefer Sutherland ending up in jail for a drink-driving conviction. Fox and Sky have no idea when it will finish filming and be ready to show.

Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.
