She could have been popular though, she has bucket loads more talent (in my opinion) than Hope which is a start, but we'll just have to agree to disagree.

sorry Davey didn't mean to come across like i was having a go. it'd be nice if more acts like Beverley, Steve, Rhydian etc could be big sellers but i just cant see it happening tbh. There's so much more competition in the Pop/R&B world.

Abi you're saying it as if you know that Beverley wouldn't have sold any recors. Do you have a crystal ball lol? I think that Beverley is very talented, quite contemporary (sp?), with a unique voice, and and I know many people who would buy her records.

As for Hope, sure I understand some people hem, I see where Dave is coming from though, they don't personally appeal to me, but I can see how they would to other people. I don't think we need another girlband though. I know we only really have 2, but in my opinion that's enough.

My favourite act is Niki but even though I love her on the X Factor, I can't see myself buying her music - I just love listening to her sing on TV.

Her music doesn't fit in now a days. She has one type of music she can do really well, i'm not saying she doesn't, but its very 1980's diva, but 2000's chic. Its like Chris said, people prefer a catchy pop/rock/r&b track now. When she tried to pull that off the other week with "You're Beautifull", it didn't work.

Good lord did Sharon have too much Gin in her tonic tonight, why on earth did she pick Hope instead of Beverly. Granted Beverly has her age against her and she probably won't sell many records but look at the black woman who was forth when Shane Ward one she went on to star in the stage musical Chicago. There is no doubt she can belt out the hits and this is a singing competition. I only saw the results show but for what I did see when Hope where on stage there was 5 girls there but only 1 was singing. If they are going to progress they are going to have to pull their socks up and start coming up with the goods and stop relying on a young 15 year old girl to get them through to the final.
