Lizzie I can see you absolutely adore this disturbed child, but every thing he is doing is WRONG, he needs to be taken back to the mental health clinic and stay there until they work out all his issues those 2 weeks in that fancy clinic did not do any miracles,, and I am with Siobhan, Ian does not owe him a darn thing, Steven has not been NICE to Ian for many years,, and totally ignored him while he was in NZ,, then when he does show up he kidnaps and imprisons him, forgive him and embrace him, no I wouldn't do it either,, he is only a half brother to Lucy and Peter and he is a manipulative toe rag,, Peter is the only one who DOES NOT TOTALLY TRUST Steven, in fact Peter appears to be some what afraid of him.( can't say I blame him either,, hes crazy)
In all honesty its nice that EE is giving us a good story line, but Steven is a NUT CASE and I feel absolutely NO SYMPATHY for him whatsoever......![]()

You, Joanne and Sihoban are entitled to your views JustJodi. I don't "adore" him - that is going too far and I said I couldn't condone what he did. Of course that was wrong. I just can't help having some sympathy and empathy for him and actually I think Aaron's a very talented actor and Steven makes EastEnders more exciting to watch though I'd have watched it anyway. I do agree though that he could do with some more help but the two or three weeks he spent at the clinic were not completely useless - he has stopped shaking for one thing and for another he no longer seems to believe Ian was responsible for Cindy's death in prison. Ian and Jane are right to be a bit scared in case he is faking it though I personally don't think he is but all this sniping and getting him fired from the pub etc is a waste of time and energy and very childish. Ian can't stop him living with Pat or getting a job so he shpuld just accept that and concentrate on looking after his family. If he really is afraid of Steven then the obvious thing to do is to stay away from him not keep approaching him and making snide remarks. I just think that's childish.

Lizzie, I like Aaron as an actor, I think he is fantastic in EE but as I have said those snide remarks and getting him fired is what Ian does with everyone. You have seen him when he thinks he is right, he is really really smug and then cocks up big time cause he is generally in the wrong but that is Ian. That is his character, smug and snide!! Look at the bit with Billy last week!!

i like aaron as an actor.
he does a good job of portraying a mixed up kid!
Yes. I too think Aaron's a superb actor. I can't believe he is only 19.
Yes, you're right - actually now I come to think of it Ian's like that with everyone so it isn't just about Steven. I was sorry for Ian whenhe went through all that trauma but now he's getting pathetic again. I hoped what he went through would improve his charecter a bit but no.
Totally agree.
Here's another Steven spoiler I found.
Ian decides to go to the police to report Steven being the one who trashed his own stall. Prior to this, Ian goes down to the station to check out Steven's complaint about what happened to his stall and finds out that Steven didn't report it to the police. Then he checks the CCTV tape and gets a chilling insight into Steven's psyche, showing that the disturbed young man needs all the help he can get.
My mum thought Ian went to check if Steven reported the trashed stall to make sure Steven wasn't claiming insurance money for it but I dion't think so because he only finds out Steven did it after he finds out hehasn't reported it to the police. I think as much as Ian hates Steven for what he di, he went to find out who trashed Steven's stall out of genuine concern for Steven but then got suspicious when he found out Steven never reported it, so ecided to check the CCTV to see ifhis hunch was correct which it was.
I don't believe Steven would be involved in an insurance fraud. He is messed up not evil and anyway what's the point? Even if the insurance paid him that is only short term. He'd still have to get a job to continue to make money so why be involved in an insurance fraud in the first place? Anyway he's too disturbed still to think like that though he is better than he was before.
Spoiler:
Ian tells the whole square that Steven was the one to smash the stall so this will leave Steven embarrassed & humiliated and will contribute more to his emotional imbalance and strange behaviour. Ian thinks he is doing the right thing in confronting Steven infront of everyone but he doesn't know what this humilation leads Steven to.
Spoiler:
That Steven in a few weeks time, wants to set himself alight - puts petrol on him and holds the matches until Stacey comes and stops him.
Also its the twins birthday that day.
And some more from Inside Soap:
OFF THE MARKET - 'Ian Beale spots the perfect way to get rid of troublemaker Steven this week by exposing his violent antics to new assistant market inspector Bradley Branning. Desperate to drive Steven out of Albert Square, Ian takes a video of damning CCTV footage - which shows Steven wrecking his own stall - out into the market and confess the truth to the stunned traders. As they listen to Ian's revelation, the unstable lad snatches the incriminating tape and destroys it. So, with the battle lines clearly drawn, is Steven's dream of a reconciliation with Ian almost as crazy as his behaviour?'.
And the headline for next Tuesday's issue will be -
'Life or death! Will Stacey make a fatal mistake with Steven?'
