    Well done Abi and Bry!

    Sounds like a good plan Abi - I hate Geography GCSE and have done since before christmas. With what you said about the A Level, I'm glad I don't like the GCSE.

    No, what they said was that 25% of the results were As.

    Apparently 'less than 10% of candidates' got straight As.

    That said it is amazing, in my day you were lucky if 3 or 4 people in a year got straight As at Higher
    6 people in my year got straight As, so its not changed much really...

    And thanks everyone

    Geography= (A, C, D) so C overall.
    Politics = (B, B, D) so C overall.
    English = (B, C, C) so C overall. 6 marks from a B
    ICT= (A, A, C) so B overall. 4 marks from an A

    So my plan is this: Drop geog, because i would have to gain 12 marks to get a B overall. I'm gonna retake my English coursework, so i can bump it from a B to an A. That will take my grade to B. I'm gonna retake my Electoral systems and voting behaviour in Politics, to get up to a B. And i'm gonna retake one of my ICT units. I only need 4 marks to get an A.

    So basically, do 3 retakes, and end up with ABB.

    Really, i'm not sure what to think about my exams. I wanted to drop ICT, because i hate it, but as its my best subject, i'm not going to. I like geog, but the coursework saved me, and next year we dont do any, so theres no point me doing it, because i'll just fail A2.

    So yeah, BCCC, but i'll get it up to ABB. Trust me ;)
    well done abi! and im sure youll be able to bring those grades up. i didnt do very well in AS politics, got an E in one of the modules, but managed to get a B at alevel overall so it can be done lol!

    Well done to Abi and Bryan. Stop being so hard on yourselves you both did really well and put in a lot of hard work. You should be given yourselves a pat on the back.

    yeh biology is really difficult, me and most of my class struggled in biology. chemistry and maths are meant to be really hard too. i dont know about chemistry seeing as i didnt take it, though most people in my year got a U in AS, but i did maths and yes it was hard but not as difficult as some people said, so although obviously some subjects are harder than others i think it also depends on the individual on how hard they are (if that makes sense)

    to be fair no subject is a walk in the park, i know a lot of people that worked damn hard to get their results, and all this news about A levels being easy really pisses me off, it's hard work, and it's all very well them picking results out and manipulating the evidence, but if they sat down and tried i'd like them to see how "easy" it is to get an A grade.
    i agree, i hate it when people say alevels are easy, dont know what else to say really as youve completely summed it up lol!

    exactly, them ones they just had on the news were all from Kings, which is a well established college, and they all sounded posh as if they'd been to grammar schools. grrr the media annoy me sometimes!
    just cos you go to a grammar school dont mean youre posh. youd never catch a posh person in my area going to a grammar school, they all go to the poncy private schools

    Yeah, its easy talking about politics, but writing about it is a lot harder!! But BBD was better than i was expecting. And its Voting Behaviour and Systems, which is the better one to revise again, i suppose! And this time last year, i knew nothing about Politics, lol!

    i knew nothing about politics either before i started. BBD is really good for a subject youd never done before. cant remember what one i did badly in, it was unit 2, about parliament and constitutions and stuff i think. good luck with the retake and next year in it
