I agree, she wasn't offended at all by what was said, she even said herself she was one. It was only when she thought that it would be good for her that she acted like she was offended and wouldn't let it drop. I think it was Charley that got Emily removed because she was making a big deal of it.

    Get Charley out!!!

Was I the only one who felt sorry for Emily last night? I know what she said could offend viewers, but i really felt for her as it was a simple slip of the tongue that caused her place in Big Brother to be no more, she looked devastated and obviously didn't mean it in such a malicious way!

I would be very surprised if Nicky, Charley and Shabhan are not up for eviction next week, as most of the arguments are centred around them.

Thanks to Vicky for my great new banner xxx

I agree totally, i don't even think it was a slip of tongue! There are two meanings of that word, one being very nasty and the other being slang as in mate/friend. As Emily chose to be friends with Charley Nicky and Shabs I'm sure she meant it in the nice way. also the context she said it in was more like in a rap situation where the word is used frequently.

I think Big Brother used Emily as a scape goat trying to distance themselves from any form of racism after the celebrity big brother.

If you look back to big brother 7, the word Wigger was used to describe Ashlean, no one was even given a warning for that.

Emily was totally upset and gutted by the situation, surely that was enough!! She obviously wouldn't have said it again!!

I do feel sorry for emily, even though i dont think she said of said it no matter what context
It didnt seem like Charley was realy offended it was more the shock that it came from emily, being the kind of person emily is, as well as she knows what happened to celeb and made more fuss about emily being in trouble and Charley kept going on about it as if to get more attention and cause of a bigger fuss to her rathr than the actual situation on hand

I don't understand why it's used as a slang word to be honest - i'll always see it as being very offensive, but the reason i felt sorry for Emily was because, i agree with you, she was made an example of. She didn't mean it in a malicious way, she meant it in a jokey way which obviously shows her immaturity and naiviety.

It's just that a slip of the tongue caused her to be booted out - it is such a shame, and i bet Emily is feeling very regretful about it and that's why i feel sorry for her as she didn't mean it in a malicious way, she didn't mean to offend.

I was talking to my parents about why they took so long to remove her from the house cos obviously they were talking about and wanting to take the right course of action and seeing Nicky's and Charley's reaction and in the end because of its context, even though it was still wrong, I think they removed her more to do with the publics feelings rather than who emily said it to

I did feel sorry for her but the i read todays papers and i dont anymore! It came out to freely of her mouth for it to be a one off slip up!

Charley annoyed me, but i genuinely think she was shocked at how quick emily said it! Shocked but also then realised how she could play it! I do think big bro would have kicked her out whatever ( they had to really) but Charley going on and on and on and on and on probably made it worse!
