Must remember to read the questions properly - I didn't on about 4 in my mock and now my teacher probably thinks I am a total wally lol
If you're ill on the day of the exam your school can apply for special considerations. You need to get your GP to write a note on headed paper stating what's wrong. The school then write to the exam board/s and apply. As long as they have the evidence then it should be ok. If you fall well below your target grade then exam board will award you your target grade. You can also apply for extended time or a break halfway through.

I got special considerations (a break and the target grade one) for all my GCSE exams because I had been ill for a year before I sat them and I missed a lot of work. I came out with all my target grades which I really wasn't expecting. I cried all the way through my english lit exam because I couldn't do it.

I know this is probably no use as your exam was on Monday but it might be useful for future reference.

I had a 3 mark question in my higher science paper, "Why are some people opposed to the morning after pill?" What the hell has that got to do with science? What a stupid question. I had another one on rabbits. Can't remember what it was but we all came out saying how ridiculous it was, nobody knew what it was on about.

It was totally easy thanks, Abbie. If it didn't have higher paper written on it, with the exception of 2 questions that I think you definitely wouldn't find on foundation, I would have thought that it was the foundation.

I get those rests as a result of my disability, but I don't think I'm ever getting extra time, which I'm not happy about. I'm glad the cold didn't make me feel as bad as I did on Monday especially, as I certainly wouldn't be happy if I was only able to get what I am predicted from my CAT's.

The DME's at my school are in, too. This girl was walking down the corridor cursing as she failed hers and believes that it is because the teacher forced her to sit the higher paper.
