Roy and Hayley dig out items for Becky’s car boot sale, they comes across some old comics which Roy realises could be quite valuable. But will he be prepared to part with them?
Tracy’s determined to find out exactly what David saw despite her family’s warnings that she shouldn’t be talking to potential witnesses. David, meanwhile, is giving his evidence to the police and when he says Charlie attacked him [David] twice his story suddenly becomes more convincing.
Back on the Street, he warns Maria to expect a visit from the police, and while they arrive to question her about Charlie’s attacks on David, Tracy finally gets hold of David herself. Demanding to know what he saw, Tracy soon realises he’s lying and could be used to her advantage.
Meanwhile, Jodie Morton arrives on the street with her Granddad to inspect the empty bakery, a site she’d paid Charlie to renovate for her. Having received a surprise payment from another client, Jason claims he’s up to the job but Jodie warns him she expects some serious progress by the end of the week. Has Jason bitten off more than he can chew?
Joanne’s nervous of getting into a relationship with her boss, but Liam’s very persuasive and she finds it impossible to resist. But will she be able to resist telling the other factory girls about her conquest?
And Roy’s gutted when he realises Becky has taken his precious comic collection to the car boot sale, especially when she returns with a new coat.
David’s beginning to realise he could benefit from keeping Tracy out of jail, so when he catches her alone in Charlie’s house (where she’s gone to retrieve one of Amy’s toys he decides to play his own game. Startling her, he suggests she may have killed Charlie deliberately. Seeing her response, he seizes on it asking her what’s in it for him if he backs her up in court.
Chesney’s eating Fiz out of house and home and she’s broke, but when Cilla warns Fiz she intends to win Chesney back it’s game on as the women square up.
Meanwhile, Slug’s back on the street and wants Becky to meet him for a drink. She knows she shouldn’t but will Becky be able to resist her old ways?
Elsewhere, Roy and Hayley decide to buy themselves the car of their dreams with the proceeds from the comics; and Sean’s miffed when he misses his chance to meet Sonny again.
David’s full of himself as he spots Tracy in the street, but her mood’s dark as she realises he’s got her right where he wants her. After spending the morning playing the grieving widow, Tracy decides to pay him a visit. Offering him a car radio, she tries to make out it’s not a bribe, but as she's heading to the Rovers David reveals he hasn’t finished with her yet.
Drowning her sorrows, Tracy ignores the disapproving looks and as the alcohol kicks in, she tells her appalled parents that she’s had enough of playing the victim. Is Tracy about to blow?
Delighted with their new car, Roy and Hayley discuss Becky’s seemingly-changed ways and suggest giving her the money left over from the comic sale. But Becky’s not quite the reformed character they think she is, as she meets Slug in the Rovers. Slug can’t see the attraction in regular work and after a few drinks, Becky’s starting to find his arguments very persuasive. So when he suggests injecting a little excitement into the evening by borrowing the Croppers' car, she doesn’t hesitate for long.
The spark is clearly gone from Joanne and Adam’s relationship as her affair with Liam hots up. Joanne’s clearly smitten and when Liam offers her a bit of no strings after hours fun she can’t help but resist, even though she would like a little bit more from him.
Elsewhere, Sarah’s happy when Jason promises her a slap up meal for her birthday; and Chesney is finding all Fiz’s mothering a bit strange having being used to Cilla’s harder approach.
