    Rules

    Being In The Seat

When you are "in the seat", you will be the highlight of everyones attention. Members will be finding questions to challenge you with, all based on your chosen topic.

You must arange a time that you can come online each day to be answer the questions. A MAXIMUM of one hour per day is all we ask.

You will be asked these questions on MSN. This is the only way we can prevent cheating, as replies are instant.

For each question the procedure will be as follows:

The quiz master asks you "Are you ready?"

Once you have said yes, you must stay on that screen.

As soon as the question has been given you must reply. If the reply is not instant then we know you are cheating. We can see when you are typing and when you are not, if your not or if your hesitating then you are clearly cheating.

If you get the question right, the procedure will be repeated again. We will never give you a question without asking the "Are you ready?" line before hand.

If you get the question wrong, or if we suspect you are cheating, due to hesitation you will be knocked out.

If you manage to sucessfully answer all the questions for that day then you will remain in the seat, until your set of questions the next day.

Members who are in the seat at the end of each month are instantly given a place in the December final.

    Asking Questions

If you are asking questions to the person "in the seat", you are doing so on the basis that if that member fails to correctly guess your questions then you will "knock them out" and take their place "in the seat".

To ask a question you must send Bondboffin or Debs an email/PM with your question. It MUST relate to the topic chosen by the person "in the seat".

In this email/PM you must also include what your chosen topic would be if you were in the seat. This is so as we can inform members instantly the next topic of questions, for them to find think up questions on, IF you have sucessfully "knocked out" the member "in the seat".

If you have been sucessful in "taking the seat" will we inform you instantly. You must then get back to us as soon as possible telling us what time you will be online each day for us to ask your questions, it will only require a maxium of one hour per day.

Any Queries Please Ask Them In This Thread.

Sounds good. But, what if some people want to think about their answer first, like if it's on the tip of their tongue, and need them extra seconds just to think of it.. their reply won't be instant.. how can you tell if they're cheating?

How many questions is the maximum per day? Or does it depend on how many members send questions to be asked?

What if you cant get onto the computer, for some reason, at the time? I mean, we all have lives, things come up. Peoples internet might mess up, they might be busy etc. Does that mean they would get kicked off for that month, for simply not being able to make one session thing? Having to be tyed to being on the internet at one time everyday of the month (Which it could well be, if people are good) is a bit hard...

Also, i dont understand what this forum is for. Whats going to be posted in it? If the questions are asked on MSN, and sent by PM, then what are all the threads in here going to be for?

But sometimes you can't get onto the computer for various reasons, would that affect this? (Like going out, MSN not working, Internet not working, PC not working, work etc) So if you dont come online one day, would you get kicked out?

Oh right, that makes more sense now. I just got the impression that you had to be able to get online everyday you're in it, which would be too much of a tie to me, and loads of other members, i'd imagine.

From my point of view, what would happen if say, I arranged to come on of an evening as, but the Liam woke up for a feed when I was in the middle of my turn? As I can't ignore him, so would have to feed him, so would that then be deemed that I wouldn't be able to do it?

Sorry if it seems like I'm being awkward, I just don't want to put myself in a position where it may make things awkward for you guys..

I'm sure Bry has planned for some flexibility. I had my wife test me on my specialist subject earlier and I failed miserably.
