I had a thing today, where i sold something but to accept the payment had to upgrade my account - the upgrade was free though, and when I sold something in Nov, this didnt happen, so maybe its a new thing they have started for security reasons...![]()

if its not there by tomorrow im going to have to find a contact number for them. Im addicted to ebay and finding it really hard cause i cant bid on anything![]()
Thats because the seller would have been paying by credit card. You cant accept that unless you upgrade - I had the same problem.Originally Posted by jojomum

you have a limit each month of how much you can spend/pay for with paypal on a debit/credit card (for secutiry reasons in case of card fraud)
Your limit will increase when you enter your bank details, and rather than coming out of your card it will come out of your bank direct.
Hope that helps![]()
you know that money is still not in my account!!!!! just about to make my 5th phone call to paypal....this is going to be nasty
flipping heck that has been ages!!!!!
really glad i don't work for paypal!!!!!!
they do apologise and will do all they can to help unfrotunatly they dont have a supervisor there at the moment (yeah right used that one) and i will get a call back in the next 24 hours (used that one too and i wont hold my breath)
omg!!! what have they done to my account!!! just went on to see if i could do something and now its telling me that deposits have been sent to my bank account in may 2005
Be warned
Today I have received 2 emails, supposedly from Paypal Inc, asking me to follow the link and log into my account, and that if I don't within 24 hrs my account will be closed.
Do not do it....
If you hover over the link and don't click on it, it isn't a paypal address. Plus, the email is sent to a group of people, not singly AND the email I received, wasn't sent to the email address that I have registered with Paypal, so 3 fatal errors on these peoples parts. Unfortunately though, some people may be taken in by them... so please....do not follow the link, ignore it.
I have reported both emails to paypal, so they are aware of this, but wanted to warn everyone.
ive had the same sort of thing before, very nearly entered my details something stopped me though!
