Emmerdale airs the moment that fans have been waiting for next week, as Graham Foster announces his shock return to the village. Kim and Joe Tate both demand answers over this miraculous resurrection, as it's six years since he was supposedly murdered.
It turns out Rhona Goskirk already had a heads-up that her enigmatic ex-lover was still alive, and has been in touch with him for a while. Arriving at the vets' surgery one day, Rhona finds grinning Graham waiting for her. She berates her shady ex for ignoring her recent efforts to contact him, forcing him to desperately defend his actions.
Realising it's risky for him to be back in the village, Graham panics when somebody approaches outside, interrupting his and Rhona's clandestine conversation.
Ducking into the next room to avoid detection, Graham can't believe it when the unexpected visitor Rhona has to get rid of turns out to be Joe. Will the man who Graham considered his surrogate son get wind of who's hiding behind the door?
"It's super awkward for Rhona, as Joe says he's come to see her because he thinks he just saw Graham in the village," our Emmerdale source explains. "Rhona gives her best poker face and prays Joe doesn't clock the fear in her eyes.
"Graham isn't ready to let the Tates know he's back, but the secret is dangerously close to being blown?"
Luckily, Rhona manages to despatch Joe, much to Graham's relief. As he gets up to speed on what the dynamics are up at Home Farm these days, Graham is perturbed to learn that Joe and step-granny Kim are pretty tight, despite their previous bad blood.
Recalling how he once helped Joe fake his own death to escape Kim's wrath, Graham is gobsmacked the pair are now playing happy families, and is curious over how they became so close.
Meanwhile, up at the big house, Kim is chatting with Joe about the loss of her beloved horse, Ice. Joe suggests she get another steed from the same gene pool to take his place, provoking an angry response.
Kim is incandescent that Joe is suggesting something she cared so deeply for can easily be replaced, as it's impossible to bring the dead back to life? but guess who walks in at that very moment?
"Graham makes a typically creepy entrance as he steps out of the shadows to reveal himself," our spy confirms. "Kim and Joe are utterly stunned ? how is this possible?"
The stage is set for Graham's dramatic reunion with two of the most important people in his life. How will they react to seeing him again after years of deceit?

Emmerdale's Arthur Thomas is rolling in Ray Walters' drug money next week, after stealing from the dealer in an act of revenge. Arthur was determined to make Ray pay for hurting his mum Laurel, but will he regret taking matters into his own hands like this?
In tense scenes, a wake-up call from April reminds Arthur where this dirty cash came from, and he's flooded with regret. Realising he's profiting from the misery inflicted on April and all of Ray and Celia's other victims, will Arthur return the stolen money to those who were abused?
"Stealing Ray's profits felt like the perfect revenge at first," our Emmerdale source explains. "But immature Arthur hadn't considered that it came at a bleak cost ? victims like April and Dylan. Now he's loaded, but full of guilt?"
After discovering his mother's new lover was a monster, Arthur was determined to give Ray a fitting punishment. Disgusted to hear the truth about the man who weaselled his way into their lives, Arthur snatched Ray's bag ? and all his money.
But after April discovers his secret loot, she stings him with an honest wake-up call about the bleak consequences of the drug trade.
Horrified to realise Ray's cash comes at the cost of human life, Arthur is wretched with self-loathing and stands outside Smithy Cottage conflicted.
Will he face the consequences and return some of the money to the people whose lives Ray ruined?
These on-screen twists follow this week's dramatic episodes, which see Ray's killer finally revealed to viewers.
Monday's episode focused on why Laurel could be guilty, although there were also scenes which pointed the finger at Arthur.
Tuesday's sees the focus shift to Rhona Goskirk, followed by Marlon Dingle on Wednesday. Thursday's sees the guilty party revealed, before Friday's focuses on the creepy cover-up that followed.
The identity of the culprit remains a closely-guarded secret, but Joe Absolom ? who plays Ray ? has confirmed that the individual in question won't be leaving the show.
