Was there more than one snare? We only saw one and if ice stepped on one there must have been others for Kim to be snared. Why could Kim not sit up and remove the snare? She was wearing riding boots which should have protected her leg. She would have to have been running fast when she stood in the snare for it to bring her down to the ground, and then she should have been face down, with her head on the other side of the snare. I see no reason why she could not have removed it and went home with ice.

I was thinking that... she was in pain, yes, but surely could have got herself up and maybe lean on Ice to walk him home... and why go riding in the dark when you should have used a 4x4 to look for poachers... lazy scriptwriting to highlight her relationship with Lydia that will take a bashing now...

I think we are all getting used to this lazy script writing, there seems to be much too much of it in Emmerdale now.

When she tried to sit up it was as if she had suffered significant injury to her back and upper body, when there seemed no sign of that. She was lying on a slight hill which should have made it easier to sit up. The snare did not look home made, legal snares sold in this country have to be free running, which would make it easy to remove, and also mean that it would be unlikely to cut off the blood supply in her leg.

For someone who professes to love her horse taking it out at night into a wooded hillside with roots and presumably rabbit holes is not the best way to care for it.

I am not sure if I can stand watching Lydia agonising about telling the truth, I had enough of that during the story of Lydia's rape and the Dingles revenge on Craig.

Part of me remembers Kim's revenge plot against Will, getting him out to the field, only to hear her begging for help by her grave. Dawn and Joe seemed to be putting it on when they came out of Kim's room. She was undoubtably hurt, but I'm wondering whether she is trying to sniff out the ones she suspects that coordinated the hunt.
