    Exclamation Emmerdale Spoilers 22nd - 26th Dec 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...2025-schedule/

Christmas is getting closer ? and now's your chance to plan your soap viewing in advance. ITV has released its full festive schedules today, so we've unpacked all of the details you need on Coronation Street and Emmerdale timings.

Both ITV soaps are airing huge storylines over the Yuletide season. Returning character Eva Price has been tipped as one to watch on Corrie, as the Driscoll family's first Christmas together on the cobbles turns into a dramatic affair, while Becky Swain's scheming escalates and there's even a video cameo from Gail Platt.

Meanwhile, Kim Tate, April Windsor and villainous Ray Walters are among those in the spotlight on Emmerdale. Both soaps are also building up to the epic Corriedale crossover episode, which airs in January, so you won't want to miss a moment...

ITV's festive schedules have confirmed that Emmerdale and Coronation Street both get hour-long Christmas Day episodes this year, airing at 6.15pm and 7.15pm respectively.

This is good news for Emmerdale fans, as the show had been cut back to 30 minutes on Christmas Day in 2023 and 2024. Corrie also aired a shorter 30-minute Christmas episode in 2023, but was back to an hour last year for Gail's exit.

Additionally, both soaps are airing on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, putting them right at the heart of the festive schedules.

The full rundown for the festive fortnight follows below:

    Monday 22 December
    7.30pm: Emmerdale (30 mins)

    8.00pm: Coronation Street (60 mins)

    Tuesday 23 December
7.00pm: Emmerdale (30 mins) ? earlier slot due to ITV football coverage

Wednesday 24 December ? Christmas Eve
    6.55pm: Emmerdale (30 mins)

    8.40pm: Coronation Street (30 mins)

Thursday 25 December ? Christmas Day
    6.15pm: Emmerdale (60 mins)

    7.15pm: Coronation Street (60 mins)

Friday 26 December ? Boxing Day
    6.30pm: Emmerdale (30 mins)

    7.00pm: Coronation Street (30 mins)

There's terror ahead on Emmerdale this festive season for panicked Aaron Dingle, when his boyfriend Robert Sugden goes missing on Christmas Day. Aaron's dreams of mistletoe and wine are soon shattered when it becomes clear that someone's out to get the loved-up pair.

With Kev Townsend and John Sugden on the loose, that's two dangerous ex-husbands eager for revenge. And when Robert disappears before they've even carved the turkey, his family spiral into panic?

Before Robert vanishes from the village, the pair face a different enemy, one much closer to home. Keen to settle down back into the marital bliss they shared before Robert was banged up, the couple decide they want his son Seb back in their lives.

But one person who isn't happy about their plans to bring Seb back to the village is Ross Barton. As the partner of Seb's late mum Rebecca, he raised the little lad as his own until last year when she died.

Ross giving up Seb to Rebecca's auntie was a painful decision which broke his heart, so on hearing Aaron and Robert's plans, the battle lines are drawn?

When Aaron discovers his windscreen is smashed and trees are set on fire outside the flat, the obvious culprit is Ross. However, Ross has an alibi, and unknown to the pair there's someone else far more dangerous lurking in the shadows ? and their sinister plans have only just begun?

"They don't know who is doing these malicious things," teases Danny Miller, who plays Aaron. "They assume Ross because of the row over Seb. Robert discovers who it is, but he doesn't tell Aaron because he thinks he can deal with it, without adding stress to Aaron's life?"

Unwilling to spoil Aaron's Christmas, Robert's on a mission to stop this threat before it's too late.

But on Christmas morning, after mulled wine outside the Woolie, Robert heads off on a mysterious errand.

As the hours pass and he doesn't return, Aaron and Victoria are increasingly worried that something terrible has happened to Robert?

Has Robert discovered the mystery attacker and gone to teach them a lesson? Or has he been snatched by a grievous ex wanting payback?

Emmerdale's Kim Tate reflects on days gone by, while she's all alone this Christmas. The sombre scenes take place as Kim refuses to make peace with Joe Tate and Lydia Dingle after surprising rows in the run-up to the holiday season.

The not-so-festive fortnight kicks off with Kim cancelling her order for her family Christmas dinner, before Joe arrives to try to end a dispute that they've been locked in for some time.

Viewers will find out the reasons for their tensions in the coming weeks, but Kim is in no mood for forgiveness and turfs Joe out. Are the Tates at risk of being torn apart for good?

"Joe is basically ousted from the house by Kim," explains Ned Porteous, who plays Joe. "She's so cross because of what he has done. So, it's going to be a different Christmas for Joe."

The next day, Kim takes a tumble at Home Farm and finds herself unable to stand up on her own. As a result, she calls for help but is disgruntled when Lydia comes to her rescue.

Despite being immediately dismissed, Lydia refuses to leave and sticks by Kim's side.

Later in the week, Joe makes another attempt to reconcile with Kim so that they can spend Christmas with each other.

"Joe's gutted about the fact that he's annoyed Kim," reveals Ned. "But at the time he believed he was doing the right thing, as Joe always does! Let's just hope that he can win her around in the New Year?"

When Christmas Day arrives, Kim mopes around her mansion on her own. Feeling pensive, Kim then picks up photographs featuring ghosts from her past, while plenty of her fellow villagers embrace the festive season ? with a public proposal even taking place. But where does Joe end up?

"Joe spends Christmas somewhere a little different this year," teases Ned. "He's out of his comfort zone for sure, but there is also a nice, happy piece of news for him?"

Without Joe around, will Kim continue to spurn her small circle? And if so, for how long will she wallow in her misery?
