The Metcalfes' marriage hits the rocks on Coronation Street next week, putting one of the show's strongest couples to the test. When it all comes to a head for Tim and Sally, it's not just their own happiness that's at stake?
"Tensions are mounting at No.4," our Corrie source explains. "Fostering the Michaelis kids has been challenging for Tim and Sally ? not to mention the arrival of Trisha, a shady woman from Tim's past. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning?"
Sal seethes when she catches Tim scrolling through Trisha's social media. Previously, Tim revealed the age gap between them when they were together, much to Sally's horror.
Reminding Tim that he was groomed as a teenager by then 20-year-old Trisha, Sally demands to know why he's now snooping on her socials ? does he still have feelings for this woman?
Tim snaps at Sally, but the pair put their relationship woes aside when they learn that Lou Michaelis is in court for fighting in prison. They can't bring themselves to tell Brody, Shanice and Joanie ? who's staying with her auntie ? that their mum may have scuppered any chance for parole.
However, news travels fast and Brody soon finds out from his father Kit Green ? and he's not happy...
"Brody confronts Tim and Sally for not telling him," our insider continues. "He accuses them of not letting him support his mum. Brody brands the Metcalfes useless foster parents, just as some unexpected visitors arrive?"
Joanie has returned, along with her social worker, in the middle of the showdown. Will the authorities allow her to move back to this volatile environment? And will Tim and Sally be deemed unsuitable foster carers?
