Coronation Street's newest schemer Becky Swain gets her feet well and truly under the table at Carla and Lisa's house next week ? until Carla accuses her of lying about being under threat. With Becky claiming that she's in danger at her new flat, concerned Lisa and Betsy have kindly let her stay at their home.

But as this tale of woe seems highly suspicious, can Carla convince her fianc?e that they're all being played by her scheming ex?

"Now Becky's got herself into No.6, there's no way she is going to want to leave again," our Corrie insider warns. "So Carla's going to have a big battle on her hands if she wants to get rid.

"Meanwhile, Lisa isn't completely naive and has her suspicions about Becky's story. But when she asks her outright if she's telling the truth, Becky turns into a master manipulator?"

In the face of Lisa's accusations, Becky makes a big show of being upset and offended that her estranged wife could think she is capable of such a lie. Following Becky's strong reaction, Lisa backs off, but Carla isn't going to be put off so easily.

"Lisa did disclose to Carla the fact that Becky tried to kiss her recently," our source continues. "But since that admission, as far as Carla is concerned, this is war.

"Add to this Lisa's plans to take Betsy to Spain, and Carla is more determined than ever to keep her family together and get Becky out of their lives for good."

Lisa is thrown by her conversation with Becky, so Carla tells her fianc?e in no uncertain terms to wake up to her ex's games. She reasons to Lisa that if Becky really was in danger from heavies, as she has claimed, why would she come to the home of her daughter and risk having that danger follow her?

Carla insists to Lisa that this is all part of Becky's sinister plan ? but unknown to the pair, Becky is listening in. How will she react as Carla starts to bring Lisa around to her way of thinking?

"We've learned that Becky is no stranger to dishing out threats ? she certainly found a way to deal with Costello when he tried to get her to head back to Spain," our spy adds. "How far might she go to find a way to make Carla back off too?"

Of course, this twisted love triangle affects more than just Becky, Lisa and Carla. Betsy is still convinced that her mum is in danger, so isn't likely to react well if Carla and Lisa insist that she leaves the house to return to potential peril.

With the idea of moving to Spain with her other mum still hanging tantalisingly in the air for Betsy, can Lisa and Carla really take the risk of throwing Becky out ? and pushing their daughter away too as a result?

Coronation Street's Shona and David Platt receive devastating news next week, when an ultrasound reveals that their unborn baby has developed a potentially cancerous tumour. During a routine scan, Shona and David spot an unusual mass on their child's neck, which is later confirmed to be a tumour by a consultant.

The medic also goes on to explain that if Shona wants to go full-term with her pregnancy, she will need to undergo a high-risk operation.

The scenes air next week, with the drama starting when Kit Green pulls David aside in the precinct and accuses him of ribbing Sarah about their relationship.

True to character, David refuses to bow down to Kit and barges past him, which sends the corrupt copper into a spin.

Infuriated, Kit bends the law for the umpteenth time in his career ? and arrests his rival for assaulting a police officer. It's a total nightmare for David, not least because he was due to take Shona along to her latest pregnancy scan.

While Shona waits impatiently at the hospital with Sarah, David does everything he can to convince Kit to free him so that he can be with his wife.

Eventually, Kit gives up the tough guy act and drives David to Weatherfield General, which allows the couple to attend the ultrasound together after all.

Once the scan begins, Shona and David gaze lovingly at their unborn child, but the pair soon realise that they can see an unusual mass on the baby's neck. Immediately, the gravity of the issue is written all over the sonographer's face, leaving Shona and David shaken to the core.

A special Coronation Street episode later in the week will dedicate time to both David and Shona's individual perspectives as they gear up for their appointment with the consultant.

First, viewers will see the world through Shona's eyes, as well as hearing her inner dialogue, as she mulls over why her husband seems to be so unbothered by their terrible situation.

Then, David's own feelings come to light, as he prepares for the day ahead by encouraging himself to be strong for Shona despite the agony that he's feeling inside.

In the hospital room, Shona and David listen closely as the consultant confirms their worst fear: there is a tumour on their baby's neck that could be cancerous. Stunned, Shona and David then receive information that if they decide to keep the baby, Shona will need to go under the knife.

Given the real danger that the procedure poses to both Shona and her unborn child, how will David respond? And will Shona make it through to give birth to her baby?

Kit accosts David in the precinct and accuses him of winding up Sarah with his jibes about their relationship. David's unrepentant and shoves past him, so a seething Kit arrests him for assaulting a police officer.

When David fails to show up to take her for her scan, a fuming Shona asks Sarah for a lift. David pleads with Kit to let him go as he couldn't bear to let Shona down. Kit relents and drives David to the hospital.

David and Shona gaze at their baby on the monitor. But the sonographer's face clouds as they point out a mass on the baby's neck.

Meanwhile, Lisa asks Becky outright if she was telling the truth about being spied on at her flat. Becky makes a show of taking offence at Lisa's lack of trust. Carla advises Lisa to wake up, pointing out that if Becky really was in danger, there's no way she'd risk her daughter's safety by hiding out in Betsy's home. Becky overhears, but how will she react?

Elsewhere, Ruby and Hope scream at each other while Tyrone tries weakly to intervene. Stressed to the eyeballs, Fiz complains at having to do everything. In the factory, Fiz has a meltdown and starts viciously whacking her sewing machine. Izzy, Kirk and Michael watch, feeling helpless.

Also today, as Ben and Eva look for an athletics club for Will, Eva's ears prick up when James mentions that he's a personal trainer. James takes Will for a PT session but Will's not interested, burying his head in his phone.

Finally, Shona's unimpressed to learn that Carl's leaving Abi to complete the flat move by herself.

In a unique heart wrenching episode, the first half hour follows both Shona and David's journey as they prepare to set off to see the consultant to find out more about the mass found on their unborn baby's neck.

We first see the morning from Shona's point of view, as an emotional Shona wonders how David can be so casual when their baby's life could be at risk. She eventually orders David out of the car, insisting that she doesn't want him at the hospital.

We then see the same timeline but from David's point of view as he focuses on preparing himself and his determination to be strong for Shona, despite breaking inside.

Before we move back to reality as the consultant confirms the presence of a tumour on the baby's neck, and explains that if they decide to continue with the pregnancy, Shona will have to undergo complex surgery.

As the consultant reveals that their daughter's tumour could be cancerous, how will a shell-shocked Shona and David respond?

Meanwhile, Will tells Eva and Ben that he's at an athletics meeting in Leeds with his old team but he's not telling the truth.

Elsewhere, Kevin hosts a poker night. When he raises the stakes by gambling his car, Sally worries about his mindset.

Also today, Michael lets slip to Tyrone that Fiz threw a wobbly at work.

Finally, Sally informs Tim that Lou's up in court for fighting in prison.

Will's athletics coach Megan drops him off. Devastated to be back to reality, Will stomps off home in a foul mood.

When Ben bumps into Megan outside, he insists on taking her back to the pub for lunch. Is Will about to confess all to his family about his unhappiness?

Meanwhile, Sally sees Tim's phone open on Trisha's social media and asks why he's snooping on that predator, but Tim tells her to change the record.

Brody bumps into Kit who asks why he's not at court. Brody bursts into Tim and Sally's and accuses them of denying him the chance to support his mum. Branding Sally and Tim useless foster parents, Brody's shocked to realise Joanie and her social worker have just walked in.

Elsewhere, Theo's down at having no work while Todd preps for a lavish funeral for a local councillor. Gary tells Theo that Pete's offered him a contract, despite their previous falling-out. When Gary suggests that if Todd could smooth things over with Pete, it may secure Theo some work too. Will Todd agree?

Also today, Tyrone informs Kevin he's returning to work in the office. He's taken aback when Kevin makes it clear he's no intention of opening the garage and is going back to bed.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...abi-carl-flat/

Coronation Street's Abi Webster has sacrificed her comfortable married life to pursue a romance with her brother-in-law Carl, believing they are in love. Little does she know, Carl has already shown signs of regret as he realised the reality of his future with Abi ? who comes with a young son in tow.

Even after becoming official with Abi, Carl has continued his secret romance with James Bailey. Would he rather call it quits on his new relationship than retire his hedonistic lifestyle?

And will Abi see the warning signs before it's too late?

Next week's episodes will see the pair scouting new flats as they move out of Carl's bachelor pad at the Chariot Square Hotel. Though the hotel room was perfect for sneaky hook-ups, Abi decided they needed a more permanent home for young Alfie.

When Lauren Bolton's old flat becomes available, Abi quickly snatches it up and prepares to move in. However, Shona Platt is unimpressed when she learns Abi is doing all the hard work, and questions why Carl hasn't been involved.

Abi realises Carl's apathy towards their big change and her own doubts about the relationship begin to form. Will she confront him over his lack of commitment, and did she make a mistake choosing to uproot her life for him?

Meanwhile, it's not just Abi who should be wary of Carl, as recent episodes have seen him trying to steal money off his sister Debbie in order to pay off his debts. After suggesting her dementia was impacting her work, Carl landed a job at the hotel and tried in vain to get access to the business accounts.

This week, cunning Carl sets another plan into motion to get his hands on the cash by getting Debbie out of the way. He convinces her that she booked a holiday ? which he claims she forgot about ? and insists he will manage the accounts while she's gone.

After stealing his brother's wife, will Carl also successfully scam his sister?
