Monday

Things get awkward between Lisa Swain and Becky when their car breaks down

Becky reveals that she’s moving into a rented flat nearby and Lisa Swain is forced to agree when Betsy suggests Lisa could help her move her stuff. As they wait in the car together, having run out of fuel, Becky discusses Carla.

Elsewhere, Carla tells Ryan that she trusts Lisa implicitly, but Carla masks her unease when Ryan wonders if she trusts Becky to the same degree.

As they arrive in court for the hearing, Dee-Dee warns Theo to keep a cool head. Danielle’s barrister questions Theo about his violent temper and accuses him of assaulting Miles. Theo assures him it was an accident but as Noah makes derogatory remarks under his breath, Todd loses his temper and lunges at him.

Abi quizzes Carl about Tracy and he makes out that he fed her a sob story, she bought it and won’t be bothering them again.

Abi thanks Tracy for backing off, but Abi’s horrified when Tracy reveals she didn’t have much choice as Carl got someone to trash her shop and threatened to hurt her Dad.

As Todd is escorted out by security, Noah allows himself a smug grin. Will Theo be granted access to his kids?

Noah finds the pair at the bistro and, asserting that Danielle won’t back down, makes homophobic jibes. When Theo refuses to rise to the bait, Noah leaves fuming. However, Danielle later arrives with some shocking news about Noah.

Bernie voices her concerns about Asha to Dev and he admits that she’s been spending a lot of time in her room. After some persuasion from Bernie, Asha agrees to help Ryan with the careers fair at the hotel, unaware that the guest speaker is the woman who abused her.

Evelyn masks her disappointment and tells Fiz that she’s decided to give up university as it’s expensive and is a young person’s game.



Wednesday

Abi Webster calls time on her marriage to Kevin i

At the hospital, the doctor gives Kevin the all clear during his cancer check, and while Kevin is flooded with relief, Abi Franklin hides her unease, especially when Kevin states he’s looking forward to them growing old together.

Abi meets up with Carl and tells him she hates leading a double life and lying to Kevin. Back at home, Kevin suggests they spend their retirement doing up old cars. Abi steals herself and drops the bombshell that she thinks they should break up.

Dev persuades a reluctant Asha to let him take her for lunch at the hotel. But she’s shaken when she comes face to face with Naomi, who’s there planning a careers fair.

She reminds Naomi how she tried to help her when she was drunk, but in return, she was abused and spat upon. Naomi denies all knowledge and warns Asha against making unfounded allegations.

Asha returns home in tears and tells Bernie about her run-in with Naomi and how she played dumb. Bernie heads out, a woman on a mission. But what is she planning to do?

Fiz admits to Maria that she’s feeling the strain with Tyrone in hospital.

Later, Todd confides in Maria that he’s mystified by Theo’s reaction to the news about Noah when all he ever did was make Theo’s life a misery. But he’s unaware that Theo is listening in, his face darkening.

When Becky calls, Carla asserts that it would be best for everyone if she went back to playing dead.


Friday

Debbie Webster gets closer to the truth

Kevin tells Tyrone about his breakup with Abi and how he suspects she might be having an affair with Carl. Tyrone shares his own frustration over the hit and run and how the police are no nearer to finding out who was responsible.

In the hotel bedroom, Abi snuggles up next to Carl and suggests it’s time for them to run away together and start a new life. Carl tries to make light of the situation and when Debbie Webster pays him a visit, she is shocked to find Abi there.

Bernie confides in Dev that, according to Kit, it’s going to be difficult to bring charges against Naomi as they only have Asha’s word for what happened. At the careers fair, Bernie locates Naomi’s laptop. As Naomi takes the stage and clicks on the first slide, she’s horrified by what she sees.

Bernie explains to the shocked audience how Naomi abused Asha, a paramedic and woman of colour. Nina and Amy film the proceedings on their phones while Ryan calls a halt to the event. Having watched the video, Asha rounds on Bernie for interfering. Later, Naomi barges into No.7 and announces that she’s suing Bernie for defamation.

Todd does his best to appear upbeat when Theo excitedly reveals that Miles and Millie are coming to say and orders him to get the flat looking spick and span.

When Millie reveals that the only reason they’ve come to visit is because they’re legally required to see him, Theo’s cut to the quick.

Jenny invites George to join her for lunch but he declines, making out he’s got to clean the funeral parlour.

Later, Jenny calls at the undertakers with her mop but quickly leaves when she finds that George has already enlisted Christina’s help.

Dee-Dee and Ollie join Adam and Alya for lunch in the bistro. But Dee-Dee is embarrassed when Ollie criticises the food.

Coronation Street's Abi Webster finally ends her marriage to Kevin next week ? before suggesting to brother-in-law Carl that they skip town and start a new life together. Will poor Kev suss out the real reason that he's been dumped?

Still head over heels for Carl, Abi meets up with him and confesses that she can't bear to live a double life anymore.

With guilt eating away at her, Abi returns to No 13, where she blurts out to Kevin that she wants to break up with him?

"Poor Kevin is totally blindsided," reveals our Coronation Street source. "Just before Abi drops her bombshell, Kevin suggests that they should spend their retirement fixing up old cars.

"With that in her mind, Abi's conscience can't take one more second of lying. The question is whether Kev will realise that he's lost his wife because of his own brother.

"Either way, Abi is going to need to explain herself ? she was in Mallorca playing happy families not long ago."

The week starts off on a positive note for Kevin, as he receives the all-clear from cancer during a hospital check-up. Naturally, Kev is overwhelmed with relief, while Abi hides how tormented she feels.

And to make matters worse, Kevin uses the emotional moment to tell Abi that he's looking forward to growing old together.

"The appointment comes just as Abi is thinking about calling things off," our insider explains. "The intensity of Kev's health news, combined with him talking about the future, are the triggers that lead her to breaking point.

"It's tragic that what should be a celebratory day for Kevin turns out to be so miserable."

Soon, Kevin confides in Tyrone Dobbs that he thinks Abi might have broken his heart because she's having an affair with Carl.

With Kevin bang on the money, will he uncover the truth?

Speaking to us recently about the possibility of a split, Sally Carman ? who plays Abi ? explained: "This storyline ? as brilliant as it is and I am loving it ? does mean that potentially I might have to work less with Mike Le Vell who plays Kev Webster in the future.

"That has been really tough because I feel like we're married! We're 'work wife, work husband' ? we have that relationship and he's got my heart forever.

"He's my friend and I'll see him outside of work and all will be well. But I'm going to miss working with him because he's a dream and I adore him."
