Where did Mick find the money to flee abroad, or even to pay the laundry van driver, he was always skint.

I thought they were using their own official passports, which would make the whole sorry tale all the more ridiculous. Has Mick never heard of an "All Ports Alert"? Did he just think they would get a ferry or fly out of the country without the authorities noticing?

I fear I search in vain. I do not mind a bit of dramatic license, but when stories deviate too far from reality I find it hard to engage with them, because either I am laughing, crying or both at the same time, too much to concentrate.
