Not just the Gary story, but the christening and Kevin too.

Why was Gary with Lou in a back alley at night? Did she phone him at Anna's, and ask him to meet her, or did they just accidentally bump into when he arrived back. What reason did Lou give for Gary being injured, surely the police would have been informed and carried out some sort of investigation. I cannot think of any good innocent explanation that Lou could have offered for Gary 's injury.

She gave an explanation to the nurse last night, saying Gary fell from a ladder or something. But that was obviously complete nonsense. The paramedics and the doctors examining him would have seen he had been whacked on the head with a heavy object and presumably would have informed the police. In any case, being found in suspicious circumstances like he was, the paramedics and/or the hospital would have informed the police immediately.

Also, would the hospital not want his GP details, his NHS number, current medication and all sorts of other things that his "wife" would have had to fill in on the admission form? None of it, apparently, being followed up in all the time he has been there.

The whole scenario is complete and utter nonsense.

Billy was very quiet when James found out about the christening. I am not religious but attended church every Sunday when I was young. So saw many christenings. I remember that parents and god parents had to make promises to bring up the child in the ways of God and the church. Bit difficult for James if he was not there. I also seem to remember that parents and god parents had to attend pre baptism classes. If Adam and Alya were the god parents, I am not sure a muslim can be a god parent to a Christian child.

I only watch Corrie and Emmerdale... they are both very similar and I have no doubt that the other soaps are of a similar ilk... The producers/scriptwriters have run out of ideas because they started to rush into dramatic storylines too fast and too often.. there are no happy living episodes showing couples and their families sitting at a table, talking how school was for the kids, what everyone would like for tea/dinner, talking about the upcoming football tournament, the price of fish and chips these days ... not a whole episode, of course, but just a few brief scenes with a bit of humour thrown in. I think it would make soap life more realistic and more human again, like it used to be... we have had too many OTT storylines, a lot of them badly executed and acted. Just my opinion, of course.

Must be complicated being Kevin, trying to remember who he has told he is better, and who he has told he is not.
