Chelsea makes the ultimate sacrifice.

Chelsea's elaborate lie has finally come crashing down around her - forcing her to make a decision she may deeply regret.

This week in Neighbours, after pretending Paul is Thomas's father, the truth has now been exposed to Terese, Krista and Cara that Chelsea's baby is not his.

Thomas is in fact the child of Chelsea's (Viva Bianca) former fling Jeffrey, who had been extorting her until recently to keep the secret.

"Chelsea feels absolutely devastated because it wasn't initially her lie," Viva tells TV Week. "She was fooled by Jeffrey just as much as Paul was. I think she's also scared that she stands to lose everyone for messing everything up again."

With her web of deceit unravalled, Chelsea's relationships are in tatters. Her sister, Cara, is furious and Krista doesn?t hold back either, yelling at Chelsea and leaving her a wreck.

"As a single mum, the idea of losing the support of Paul and Cara is not only crushing but also terrifying, " Viva explains. "She's terrified for her and Thomas's survival."

Full of shame and self-loathing, Chelsea makes an unthinkable decision. She quietly abandons baby Thomas at Paul's penthouse, convinced her son will be better off without her.

"Leaving her baby behind is Chelsea's lowest point," Viva says. "No mother would abandon their child if they didn't feel they had no choice. Chelsea thinks Thomas will be better off in the care of Paul and Terese. She feels she has nothing to offer him on her own."

Will Chelsea return to her son or has she left Erinsborough for good? "

LOVE that PAUL was going to take responsibility for THOMAS.
CHELSEA is flawed sure but I still love the character. Hope we get a reunion..

I’d love to see CHAUL together with THOMAS, just don’t know whether writers would do it. TERESE & PAUL as a couple bore me. It’s been done before. PAUL falling for CHELSEA much more entertaining ! What do you think?

I do agree with you completely but I don’t see them doing this I think there just going to close all the story line now eg Paul and terese get married Susan and Karl live to live closer to there kids and grandkids etc (just my opinion)

It’s going to be funny when it gets renewed again !
I think writers might leave a lot of things open this time. They made a mess of SL’s with the final episode last time.

I’m rooting for CHAUL - once their secret gets exposed there will be fallouts everywhere.

CHELSEA will leave and give THOMAS to PAUL.
I hope they all work together to bring her back because I hate that ending for CHELSEA.

They have all made mistakes, she doesn’t deserve to be the only one not forgiven.
They should all be focused on DARCY if they want a villain to bring down.

Terese gets the last word as Chelsea leaves town.

Chelsea is set to leave Erinsborough for good and Terese couldn't be more relieved as the two rivals face off in a dramatic farewell filled with tension.

After months of betrayal and heartache, Chelsea finally decides to pack her bags and return to the Gold Coast with baby Thomas.

Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou), who has been collateral damage in Chelsea's ploys to get her ex Paul back, couldn't be happier to see the back of her snaky nemesis. "It's been hell for Terese," Rebekah, 51, tells TV Week.

But the drama isn't over just yet. When Terese learns Paul had secretly offered to invest in Chelsea's perfume business so she can have a steady future for herself and Thomas, she's furious.

"It comes as a shock," Rebekah reveals. "It's just one more revelation she hears from someone other than Paul. She's had enough and gives him an ultimatum."

Chelsea's final jab hits below the belt, claiming Paul will never be whole after losing his son David. Still, Terese can't help but love him," Rebekah says. "He's her one. Terese is solid in he trust of Paul."

Will he declare his commitment to her or remain in secret contact with Chelsea due his connection with Thomas? "

Don't know how long Viva's contract is/was for, but Chelsea's return was initially mentioned as an "extended stay," which suggested a longer stint than a typical guest appearance (which it has been). And Viva herself confirmed that her role is an extended guest role, so I assume she will be gone for good this time...
