Is Ruby's story going to be one where the police do not believe her, as in Eastenders with Linda? If they find out the body is not Anthony but Nate, will they say "there, there, you poor soul, you are upset because you are in shock due to your father going missing".

And the police do not think it odd that after all this time, when they are interviewing Ruby he suddenly turns up and goes to a police station. Why? Did he know Ruby was in trouble?

No problem with police budgets in Yorkshire, planning to search, numerous lakes and reservoirs for a body on the say so of a woman who is clearly mentally distressed.
