Monday

Zack Hudson (played by James Farrar) is ready to do whatever it takes to protect his secret son, Barney Mitchell

Now that Zack knows that Barney's mum Nicola (Laura Doddington) was responsible for the death of her older son Harry's (Elijah Holloway) ex-girlfriend, Shireen, he has a plan to flee Walford with teenager Barney!

Zack approaches Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) for a loan to fund his escape.

However, he's left further alarmed when Ravi reveals Nicola recently offered him BIG money to move a dead body...

With the grisly evidence building against murderous Nicola, Zack decides to report her to the Police!

As Nicola's arrest causes shockwaves through the Mitchell family, Zack reckons it's time for the truth to come out about Barney's paternity...

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is confused when Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) is angry that nobody celebrated his birthday with him.

But didn't Nigel previously say he didn't want a fuss?

Phil talks to Nigel's close friends, including Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), to try and find out why Nigel is so upset.

There's further humiliation for Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) when she is the target of cruel online messages after sleeping with Joel Marshall (Max Murray).

Barney tries to help but Avani gets defensive when he mentions Joel and storms off...



Tuesday

Teddy Mitchell (played by Roland Manookian) is still trying to get his head around his ex-wife Nicola's (Laura Doddington) KILLER secret

But the blasts-from-the-past keep coming, and Teddy finally discovers the SHOCK truth about his teenage son, Barney (Lewis Bridgeman).

Teddy is not Barney's biological dad as he has always believed.

As it turns out he's the secret son of Zack Hudson (James Farrar), who Nicola had a short-lived affair with years earlier!

A painful confrontation brews at the Mitchell house as Nicola has no choice but to come clean...

Meanwhile, Nicola and Teddy's older son Harry (Elijah Holloway) is alarmed by the discovery that Zack is planning to flee from Walford with Barney!

Determined to stop Zack in his tracks, Harry resorts to desperate measures and locks Zack in the boot of his car!

But disaster strikes when a car chase leads to a crash, leaving a vehicle and its passengers submerged in a lake...

Meanwhile, Barney is busy trying to comfort friend Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James).

Avani is the target of online abuse after sleeping with local lad, Joel Marshall (Max Murray).


Wednesday

Does everyone survive the dramatic car crash ?

Or is tragedy about to strike again in Albert Square?

Harry Mitchell's (played by Elijah Holloway) kidnapping of Zack Hudson (James Farrar) goes horribly WRONG!

Harry's actions lead to a high-speed car chase also involved Harry's dad Teddy (Roland Manookian), uncle Billy (Perry Fenwick), his wife Honey (Emma Barton) and family friend, Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley).

But one vehicle veers off the road and is submerged in a lake...

The survivors scramble bankside to try and save those trapped in the sinking vehicle.

Will everyone make it out alive?

Meanwhile, back on Albert Square, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) reels from some SHOCK news and storms round to the Mitchell house at No.1 to reveal a truth...

Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) is grateful for the support of her school friend, Barney.

She's trying to deal with the fallout and horrible online abuse she's been getting after sleeping with Joel Marshall (Max Murray).

But when Avani invites Barney back to her house, he gets the WRONG idea and risks wrecking their friendship again!

Will a pep talk from Avani's dad Ravi (Aaron Thiara) help Barney get things back on track again?


Thursday

Since Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) is currently taking a break from Albert Square, her sister Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) has been left to take charge of family matters

Both Sharon and Vicki have previously warned Sharon's brother, Zack Hudson (James Farrar), not to get further tangled-up with his one-time lover Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) and her ex-husband, Teddy (Roland Manookian).

But Zack has taken matters into his own hands to try and keep his secret son Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) safe, after finding out the murderous truth about Nicola's KILLER secret...

The Mitchell household is thrown into turmoil following an angry outburst from Vicki in the aftermath of the shock car crash...

Barney is stunned after Vicki reveals a truth...

But the other BIG question of the night is: What has happened to Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), his dad Teddy and Zack after the crash?

"Harry is quite an unpredictable character who reacts on emotions, as does Zack, so it’s the fear of the unknown of how he will react, and how far he will go. Two unpredictable characters in one space can be very dangerous. Zack suddenly realises that his plan is not going the way he wanted it to..."

EastEnders will air a huge disaster in Walford next week when a devastating car crash changes lives forever.

The awful accident occurs in the wake of huge secrets being exposed that threaten to tear the Mitchell family apart, with other unsuspecting locals getting caught in the crossfire.

The drama begins with Zack Hudson secretly plotting to flee Walford, taking Barney Mitchell with him. Following recent revelations about Shireen Bashar, Zack fears his biological son isn't safe around his mum and is putting plans in place to get him away.

Needing some cash, Zack asks Ravi Gulati for a loan. Upon hearing what Zack has up his sleeve, Ravi warns him about Nicola Mitchell, revealing she recently asked him to move a dead body.

This makes Zack even more convinced Nicola is trouble and he must cut her out of Barney's life, but the teen still has no clue about his true paternity.

"Zack has a heart-to-heart with Linda and tells her what he's learnt about Nicola," reveals our source. "Linda urges Zack to go to the police to protect Barney. It's a risk, but Zack feels he has no choice ? and as a result, Nicola is arrested."

The Mitchells reel as Nicola is taken in for questioning, and when Zack clocks Harry Mitchell's reaction to his mother's arrest, he wonders if Barney's brother could become an unlikely ally.

Zack informs Harry who Barney's biological father is, hoping the mechanic hates his murderous mum enough to turn against her and help get his sibling to safety.

"Nicola is eventually released pending further enquiries, and she's soon back on the Square," shares our insider. "But Harry storms in and announces the secret Nicola has spent 16 years trying to hide ? Teddy isn't Barney's biological dad, Zack is."

While Nicola desperately denies Harry's claims, Teddy can see right through her, and she has no choice but to admit everything.

As Nicola tries to explain herself in an emotional showdown, Harry realises where his loyalties lie and reveals Zack is planning to run away with Barney.

"Nicola and Teddy try to stop Zack," explains our source, "but Harry is one step ahead and sneaks off to derail his plans. He confronts Zack, bundles him into the boot of his car and drives off. Teddy soon works out what Harry has done and decides to intervene before things get out of hand."

Teddy gets a lift from Billy and Honey Mitchell and Nigel Bates, hoping to catch up with Harry. After a dramatic chase, it looks as though Teddy has everything under control ? until things take an unexpected turn.

One of the cars suddenly swerves and ends up veering off the road into a lake. As some of the passengers scramble out of the vehicle, they try to save those trapped before they sink into the water.

But which car has taken a plunge, and who will make it out alive?
