I think it's pretty obvious Dawn thinks she is protecting who she thinks pushed Joe, probably thinking it's someone in her family.

If she thinks it was Clemmie, unless she has superpowers, I don't think she has the strength.

Noah said he saw someone running away, presumably he meant away from the house, which might mean someone who was not at the party. If it was someone who was at the party, they would sneak upstairs, then afterwards just come down again and mingle.
