Eileen Grimshaw is with Julie when she dies in tonight’s episode

Julie videos herself on her phone, talking about the importance of love. Meanwhile, George plans a romantic evening to show Eileen Grimshaw how much he cares but she’s furious at his insensitivity and reminds him that he was supposed to be taking her and Julie for a day out at the lake.

Having got a cab, Eileen and Julie take in the view and Julie admits there’s nowhere she’d rather be. A No.11, George stumbles across a video where Julie advises Eileen to call time on her relationship with George.

Later, at Julie’s request, Eileen heads to the refreshment van but she returns to find Julie lying on her back with her eyes closed. In a panic, Eileen feels for a pulse…

Todd tells Eileen he’s had a call from Danielle as Theo has gone missing.

As a drunken Theo staggers down the street, Mick picks an argument with him and shoves him up against the wall as a horrified Billy watches on.

Ronnie hauls Mick away from Theo and sends him packing, while Theo breaks down to a concerned Billy.

When Dee-Dee admits to Eileen that she’s nervous of becoming too attached to Laila, Eileen advises her to follow her heart. Ronnie spots Dee-Dee cooing over Laila and is touched by the sight.

Later, when Dee-Dee admits to Alya that she’s started to bond with Laila, Alya urges her to rethink her plans and assures her that James will forgive her in time.

Rita orders Jenny to stop wallowing in self-pity and look to the future while she’s still got her health.

    Wednesday

Kit Green realises that his past has come back to haunt him

Kit has to hide his unease when Lisa tells him that they’ve hauled in Mick on suspicion of an assault and she’d like him to conduct the interview. As Kit enters the interview room he’s clearly nervous and Mick’s amused to see that he is so uncomfortable.

Kit fails to question Mick in detail and says he’s free to go. Outside, Mick corners Kit and tells him they need to have a chat.

What has he got on Kit?

As an upset Eileen mulls over Julie’s death, George worries about Julie’s final message to Eileen and the future of their relationship which only annoys Eileen further.

Will she decide to take her half-sister’s advice and leave George for good?

Todd is seriously concerned when Theo’s daughter, Millie, calls at the undertakers demanding some answers from her Dad. It seems that these two can't catch a break.

Dee-Dee tells Michael that she is planning to return to work as she’s feeling much better. But it's clear that she isn't ready after she becomes emotional when she finds Roy in the cafe with a candlelit cake in honour of Hayley’s birthday.

Lauren tells Bobby that she hasn’t received any more threatening texts, but she worries the blackmailer is simply biding their time. Will her theory be proved right?

    Friday

Todd Grimshaw finds the hearse covered paint in tonight’s

Todd Grimshaw hears the car alarm on the hearse and goes to investigate, finding it covered in paint.

Later, he’s shocked to discover it was Millie who vandalised the hearse. As she rails at him for ripping her family apart, Theo leaps to David’s defence.

Theo defends his daughter against Todd's accusations

Bobby offers to help Lauren look at flats but she assures him she’s fine on her own. Floored by the prices of rent, Lauren reveals that she needs to get a job fast if she is going to get a place.

Aadi offers to put in a good word at Freshco but when she then receives another text from the blackmailer demanding ?200 or they’ll report her to the police, Lauren despairs.

Showing Betsy the text, Lauren suspects Bobby is her blackmailer and it’s his way of trying to get closer to her. She resolves to call his bluff and, having planted some fake cash, Lauren and Betsy wait.

    Will Bobby reveal himself?

Liam and Jake join Gary and Mick for a day’s work at the builder’s yard. When Mick plays a prank on Liam, covering him in cement, Liam laughs along, determined to be one of the lads.

Later, Gary and Maria meet Mick for a drink but will Mick be able to win Maria over?

In the Rovers, Ryan tentatively explains to an upset Jenny that she’s no longer his boss and he takes his orders from Carla now. Meanwhile, Ryan is suspicious when Glenda shows some prospective buyers around the pub and attempts to put them off.

Carl calls at the hotel and finds Debbie struggling to organise a wedding fayre and suggests she could do with some help. Who does he have in mind?

Craig tells Roy he’s been offered another placement with CID.

    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 5th - 9th May 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...-final-scenes/

Coronation Street airs utterly devastating scenes as Julie Carp's final episode airs next week.

After spending the day with her terminally ill sister, enjoying a gorgeous picnic by the lake together, Eileen Grimshaw is horrified to return from the refreshment van to find Julie unresponsive on the ground.

As she checks for a pulse, poor Eileen is heartbroken to realise that her sister is gone?

"Eileen knew this moment was coming, but she was hoping to have a bit more precious time left with her sister," our Corrie insider reveals.

"Their final day together is just perfect? up until the point where it ends in such a tragic way. Eileen just can't believe that Julie is gone already, her heart is completely shattered."

Since her return to Weatherfield, Julie's been determined to pack as much into her final few weeks as she can. She's been thankful for the chance to spend the end of her life with her sister ? and it's clear that having Julie around again has meant the world to Eileen, too.

However, Julie's limited time has also made Eileen think about her own life, and making the most of every moment. It's no secret that she's been having second thoughts about her romance with George Shuttleworth of late, a fact he's now well aware of?

Keen to put the spark back into his relationship, and inspired by a video Julie records about the importance of love, George plans a romantic evening to prove to his beloved Eyelash just how much she means to him. Yet rather than being delighted by his thoughtful gesture, Eileen is furious.

"Eileen points out that George had agreed to take her and Julie out for a day at the lake," our source continues. "She can't believe he's forgotten his promise so quickly. It's safe to say that George is well and truly back in the bad books?"

As Eileen orders a cab to the lake instead, it's clear that this special time together means the world to Julie, as she admits there's nowhere she'd rather be.

Meanwhile, back at home, George stumbles upon a video Julie has recorded for Eileen ? advising her to end things with him.

As the sun begins to set on their day at the lake, Julie insists that her sister head to the refreshment stall to pick up some drinks. But once she returns, Eileen is confronted with the devastating sight of her sibling lying lifeless on the floor?

"Did Julie know that her time was coming to an end, and deliberately send Eileen away so she didn't have to witness it?" our source ponders.

"Or maybe she slipped away peacefully, knowing she'd had the best final day she could wish for with the person who means most to her in the world."

As the devastation of Julie's death sinks in, Eileen's at a loss as she confronts the huge hole her sister has left in her life.

But while George frets about Julie's final message and whether Eileen will take her words on board, is he only giving her more reason to call time on their relationship?

Or can he be the rock Eileen needs during her time of grief and prove that he really is the man for her?

Coronation Street airs Julie's final episode on Monday 5 May on ITV1 and ITVX.

Coronation Street's Kit Green lets Mick Michaelis off the hook next week, after the builder's arrest sends him into a nervous spin. But why exactly does Kit feel the need to give Mick an easy ride?

Mick only backs off when Billy Mayhew, Ronnie Bailey and Ed Bailey step in to support Theo.

Following the nasty attack, DS Lisa Swain informs Kit that the likely culprit has been brought in under suspicion of assault, and she would like him to conduct the interview.

While a routine round of questioning should be a walk in the park for a policeman as experienced as DC Green, it's clear that he feels uneasy about what he's walking into?

"Not much fazes Kit. Particularly in his job ? he's usually hard as nails," our Corrie source explains.

"But there's something about Mick's name that triggers him to feel nervous. He tries to cover his emotions in front of Lisa for his own sake, but viewers will be in no doubt about his true feelings.

"Now, whether that's just because he's heard about Mick's dodgy reputation, or because of something that's buried in the past, you'll have to wait and find out?"

In the interview room, Kit tries his best to stick to his professional persona, but worry is written all over his face. In fact, it doesn't take long for Mick to suss out the copper's nerves, and he begins to find the situation more amusing than intimidating.

As the conversation continues, Kit drops standard police protocol and decides against questioning Mick in detail about his violent outburst on the cobbles.

"Kit lets Mick off. It's a very unusual situation," our insider continues.

"Kit doesn't grill him half as much as should, then he lets him go. And things only go from bad to worse when Mick pulls Kit aside and insists that they need to have a private chat. Is this the moment that all hell breaks loose?"

I really like this show, but might have to take a break for a bit, because it's getting more and more depressing. Yesterday's scenes with Debbie just crushed me, and I love Julie. I'm not sure that I want to see that. I'm going through something really rough in my own life now, and need to save resources for where it matters. But I'll be back. I enjoy the characters on the show, but how much death, dying, and suffering do we need? One story is doable, but we seem surrounded by it right now.

And I'll still see you all on the Emmerdale boards. I'm really having fun with that show. It's the escape I need right now.
