I've only been watching for a few months. Was Dee Dee raped by Joel, or was it consensual, with her later realizing that he's a bad man?

It's interesting that Aggie spent months away from home looking after her aunt, but is nowhere around for her own daughter.
Also, wouldn't you think that Rawsie and Sophie might come back to support their father at this time?
And another thing….I know that Weatherfield Hospital only has single rooms, no communal wards, but there is another thing I find curious about patients in the hospital, or rather their relations and friends. Why are they always bringing in pyjamas and other clothes when they are not needed in hospital?

I thought this story was partly to show that the hospital was understaffed and overworked. It is a well used soap trope for friends and families to harass staff and complain that no one is telling them anything. Sometimes staff do not know what the problem is yet and are still trying to get a diagnosis. Should they leave the patient on the operating table to die while they stand around chatting with the family. Hospital scenes are almost written to a well used recipe.
Now that Corrie has changed from a crime series to a hospital series, I was wondering if the producer and scriptwriters have thought about the novel idea of turning it into a soap, or is that a bit too radical?

But she was a pre-eclampsia patient, so there was a lot of risk to mother and child, so I'd think they'd at least do a quick blood pressure before sending her back to the waiting room. I'm still scarred from Sybil dying on Downton Abbey. Also when she was saying she was feeling weird, the nurse didn't even examine her and just told her it was okay. It wasn't until she fell unconscious that the nurse looked. There was staff available to stand around her. They just weren't doing anything.
