Emmerdale's Sarah Sugden feels lonely and isolated as she takes a pregnancy test next week.
Sarah desperately tries to seek support from her on-off love interest Jacob Gallagher, but is disappointed when he's too distracted by his grief.
Viewers saw Sarah and Jacob's connection go beyond friendship last month as they spent the night together, but their relationship ran into trouble afterwards.
Next week, Sarah feels powerless to help Jacob as he seems to be on a downward spiral following the death of his mum Leyla Harding in the limo crash disaster.
Jacob drinks heavily with his new friends. Sarah tries to talk him around, but he harshly dismisses her and warns her to stay away.
Upset by Jacob's hostile reaction, Sarah secretly pulls an unopened pregnancy test from her bag and seems lost in thought.
The next day, it's the morning of Leyla's funeral and Sarah prepares to take the test.
Meanwhile, many of the other villagers focus on the sombre day ahead. Leyla's friends and family are dressed to the nines, aware that she'd want a suitably glam send-off.
At Jacob's request, Liam Cavanagh delivers a eulogy that Leyla had written before her death. However, it quickly becomes clear that she wrote it for Jacob and he's left overwhelmed with emotion.
Sarah arrives mid-speech, clearly preoccupied by the test that she's just done.
Later, during the wake at The Woolpack, Sarah tries her best to grab Jacob for a chat as everyone fusses around him.
Jacob insists that he's done enough talking for one day and walks off, leaving Sarah to struggle with the positive pregnancy test alone.
It's Sarah's grandmother Charity Dingle who ultimately notices her troubled mood and she manages to coax a confession out of her. Will Sarah tell Charity everything?
Emmerdale airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, March 3 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale has confirmed that April Windsor's friend Dylan is making a dramatic return to the show next week.
Young actor Fred Kettle, who was highly praised for his role in April's special episode this month, is coming back as Dylan for the next chapter in the storyline.
April turns to Dylan for support again as she struggles to adjust to her life back in the village.
In upcoming scenes, Marlon Dingle remains determined to keep a close eye on April. This annoys her, as she can tell that her father still doesn't trust her to stick around.
When it all becomes too much, April heads to a derelict squat for an emotional reunion with Dylan.
Marlon follows April and jumps to conclusions about what's going on. Dylan bears the brunt of this, as Marlon shoves him up against a wall.
The tense situation leaves April in despair, as she's left more convinced than ever that Marlon simply doesn't understand what she went through on the streets.
Marlon sees Dylan in a better light when the young lad takes the mature approach, encouraging April to go back home with Marlon.
The next day, Marlon can't believe his eyes when he sees that Dylan has followed him and April back to the village.
April explains that she invited Dylan, as she believes that he could make a life for himself in a close-knit community like Emmerdale.
Marlon is full of doubt, but he agrees to speak to his wife Rhona about the possibility of Dylan staying for one night. How will Rhona respond?
Emmerdale airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, March 3 on ITV1 and ITVX.

April Windsor causes more worry for Marlon
April may be home but it’s going to take months, if not years, for the Dingle family to heal. Her disappearance, pregnancy, stillbirth and weeks spent living rough have left a permanent scar on them all.
At Smithy, the teen’s dad Marlon Dingle is still struggling to know how to approach his teen daughter and can’t seem to do right for doing wrong…
When he’s woken up during the night, Marlon sneaks to the kitchen to find April, who’s furious to realise Marlon still doesn’t trust her.
Marlon grapples with what to do next when his attempts to explain his actions only make April angrier.
Feeling suffocated, April disappears from Emmerdale, seeking out her friend Dylan in the squat they shared while she was AWOL living on streets….
To her horror, Marlon follows her.
Barging in to see his daughter and the lad looking friendly, he throws Dylan against the wall, wrongly assuming that he’s the father of her stillborn baby.
As a result there's a massive row between the father and daughter in which April accuses him of not understanding her friendship with Dylan nor what she’s been through.
Marlon’s grateful when, thanks to Dylan, April agrees to return home on the proviso he gives her space.
Elsewhere in Emmerdale, Cain Dingle’s left distraught when his wife Moira asks him to move out, calling it quits on their marriage, which is hardly surprising given he cheated on her with his brother’s wife!
And when Joe Tate tells his secret lover Dawn Fletcher that he’s going away because of Kim Tate, she’s horrified to realise her stepmum knows about their affair…
Tuesday 4th
After Marlon Dingle followed his daughter April Windsor to Leeds and found her at the squat she stayed in while she was missing, he’s relieved that she’s back home in the village.
Part of that was down to April’s friend Dylan, who convinced her to go back with her dad…
So the last thing that Marlon expects is for the young lad to turn up in the village…
Marlon is shocked to see Dylan and April is quick to tell her dad that she invited her mate.
She reckons being in a village like Emmerdale will do Dylan the world of good and might help him to come off drugs.
Marlon isn’t keen on having Dylan around so he’s soon bickering with his daughter over what’s best for the boy.
Fearful of April running off again, Marlon doesn’t want to upset her so when she asks if Dylan can bed down at their place for the night, he caves and agrees to speak to Rhona.
Is he about to get a lodger that he really doesn’t want?
Meanwhile, Moira Dingle has given her husband Cain the old heave-ho and demanded that he moves out of the family home at Butlers Farm.
As Moira struggles to forgive her husband’s betrayal, Cain’s paying the price for his bunk-up with sister-in-law Ruby Milligan.
Although Moira’s devastated by the breakdown of her marriage, she gets some good news when she’s got the all-clear after having her brain tumour removed – which happened to be when Cain did the dirty on her!
As the couple face the reality of the situation, Cain and Moira brace themselves to tell their kids Kyle and Isaac that they are splitting.
Is there really no way back for the couple?

Jacob Gallagher has taken the news of his mum’s death terribly
Leyla was one of the victims of the horrific limo crash after the luxury vehicle swerved off the road and ended up on the creaking ice of a frozen lake.
At the time, the medical student was working a shift at Hotten General and only found out that his mum hadn’t survived when he saw her on the slab in the morgue.
The mother and son had been arguing before Leyla died and now she’s gone, Jacob’s wracked with guilt that they didn’t part on better terms.
As Jacob buries his grief, he returns to work only to end up having a panic attack.
But instead of taking that as a warning to take things easy and consider getting some counselling, Jacob hits the booze at the Hide with his mate Rich, leaving Belle Dingle and Laurel Thomas concerned for the poor lad.
As things escalate Rich is concerned for Jacob who continues to bury his pain.
Later, Sarah Sugden arrives to talk to Jacob, but he dismisses her, telling her to stay away.
What Jacob doesn’t realise is that Sarah has something that she needs to tell him…
Cue a scene where Sarah nervously looks at an unopened pregnancy test in her bag…

Emmerdale is a village in mourning
It’s a sad day in Emmerdale when the villagers have to say last goodbyes to Amy Wyatt and Leyla Harding after they both came a cropper, along with Suzy Merton, in the limo crash on a frozen lake a few weeks ago.
As the villagers prepare for the difficult day ahead, Sarah Sugden’s got something else to think about because she suspects she might be pregnant and prepares to take a pregnancy test…
She would like to have the support of her boyfriend Jacob Gallagher but he’s struggling with his grief for his late mum Leyla, so she goes it alone not knowing what to do or who to confide in. As she reads the result of the test, she struggles to take in the fact that it’s positive… looks like her suspicions were spot-on.
As the mourners gather in church for Leyla, her ex-husband Liam delivers a eulogy while Jacob struggles to handle his emotions.
At the wake, Laurel Thomas, Manpreet Sharma and Nicola King try to boost Jacob, telling him how proud his mum was of him.
But Jacob’s spinning and can’t handle anything, least of all Sarah who’s trying to find a moment to tell him she’s pregnant…
Amy’s send-off is a very different affair. It takes place in the woods where the dearly departed’s grieving husband Matty Barton manages to deliver a eulogy.
And we would be surprised if the day didn’t go by without someone causing a scene so, after hearing that his mum Moira Dingle has called time on her marriage, Matty lashes out at his stepdad Cain Dingle, furious at what he’s put her through.
Also, you know how Emmerdale loves a flashback, not to mention the odd flashforward, well there are two tonight.
As a haunted Mary Goskirk comforts teary Vanessa Woodfield, there’s a flashback to the day of the limo crash which gives a glimpse into why Mary is wracked with guilt.
By the way, if you’re wondering about the send-off of Suzy Merton, who also died in the limo crash, that’s taking place somewhere known in soapland as ‘off-screen’!
Friday 7th
Something is troubling Emmerdale's Manpreet Sharma. She’s hiding a secret that is weighing her down.
But what is it?
Could it have anything to do with something that happened on the day of Leyla and Amy’s funerals?
Manpreet was in the back of The Woolpack with Chas Dingle and Liam Cavanagh, but as they set off for Leyla’s send-off, Manpreet was mortified when Liam picked up her phone by mistake…
What didn’t she want her fellow doctor to see?
The incident was clocked by Chas who’s now suspicious of what Manpreet is hiding.
Will we find out what’s eating her in tonight’s instalment of village life?
Meanwhile, Marlon’s not exactly ****-a-hoop about the fact that April’s drug addict mate Dylan is kipping under his roof.
April’s hoping that a spell in the village will help Dylan to get off the drugs…
But Marlon and Ross are both worried that the presence of Dylan isn’t good for April.
But Marlon’s walking on eggshells around his daughter and is worried that if he upsets her she will take off again.
What can he do?
Also tonight, Charity coaxes a confession out of someone…
With Sarah in turmoil after finding out that she’s pregnant and not finding the right moment to break the news to her boyfriend Jacob, will she open up to her gran…

However, if she escaped, that could take some of the pressure about a serial killer in town away from John and put it on Meena. However, those taking the dog tags to be a trophy taken off victims could be right. It's just a shame because I kind of like John. It's Joe who creeps me out, handsome as he is.
