    I hope the baby never has to go into hospital needing a blood transfusion, unless Daniel and Kit have the same blood group.

    I'm not sure what difference it would make. If the baby needed a blood transfusion, the hospital would test for blood group and then use blood from the blood bank. I don't think they would tell the parents what the blood group is.
