I have to watch again, but Carla pushed him forward and suddenly he did a 90% twist and fell over the banister. It looked so bizarre.

I hope I'm not wrong but I see Kevin's situation as one sending out a positive message to the public. The message being that if you think you have a problem, don't faff about, get it checked out immediately. Attend all appointments and get it sorted.

I think we are meant to see it as he bounced off the wall, spun round and hit the banister at waist height, which caused the top half of his body to go over then drag his legs after it.

Eastenders did a similar fall recently, slightly more spectacularly in my opinion.
