But he does not have crusher. He takes things apart by hand with a few tools. Are we meant to believe he dismantled and got rid of most of it overnight including the engine?

If it was tucked up into the vacuum cleaner or put in the bin and never seen again, it would have been a waste of time drawing our attention to it. I am sure it will resurface sometime.
