Although I find it exasperating at times and, as you say, not realistic any more, Corrie is now the only soap I watch. Occasionally, there is still some flash of humour like the old days, which I find totally lacking in the others. Also, some of the characters are quite decent unlike, say, Eastenders, where I found I was not invested in one single character and couldn't care less what happened to any of them. It may be a forlorn hope, but I still cling to the hope that Corrie might still come good and that Roy Cropper will take over as series producer and chief script writer!

Royston needs to do a Portello type series.

It was just meant to be a writing job. Bethany was starting to s show signs of being unhappy with her body before she left for Turkey, especially when talking with Daniel about buying a swimsuit. She also said she was feeling insecure and paranoid. I imagine she was offered the chance of a procedure when she got there and took it. It was pretty obvious before she left that something like this was going to happen.

I think she has always felt insecure about Daisy getting back with Daniel, and Daisy's relationship with Bertie. They just ramped it up a bit before she went to Turkey.

they could have built up the insecurities storyline more instead of a rush job, they drag on some storylines then rush fast other storylines
