Liam really needs to work on his bedside manner. I cannot believe it would not have occurred to him that this might be an anembryonic pregnancy, at least long enough to wait for the doctor to come. Even allowing for what happened to Leanna, I think they are now overdoing his unsympathetic hostile attitude towards Ella, especially as in the past he has been portrayed as sensitive and sympathetic towards his patients.

I agree about Liam. He really is acting like a jerk right now. As a physician, he should know of reasons for false positives or what has occurred. I feel for Ella. I think that Paula Lee is very good and adds a lot of nuance to her performance and quite suffering.
