From Julie's chat with Dan I got the impression she really knows what Lloyd is up to but can't accept it.

You may be right, but in that case I think it is badly written. Would she drive to Emmerdale to confront Dan in front of a pub full of people, or would she stay at the hospital or go home and keep her head down? This is certainly been written for drama but I am not sure how real it is.
