Alternatively, Jay's storyline could be getting involved with Gavin (when he returns to the square).

To justify all the hype about Gavin being
the worst ever EE villian -something extreme has
to happen (imo)

Causing Phil to fall off wagon and endanger his
life and all that matters to him is very bad. I-
would never minimise the effect that alcoholics
have on themselves and famiies - really for the
rest of their lives.

But it has been done before and Mr Asbestos
has come through it and this was meant to
be truly evil.
Phils opinion of himself is very much based on
himself as a certain type of man.(imo)

I wondered if at some time in the past -some
event happened to him - that he has buried
and not faced up to it. He may have confided in
Kathy(to some extent) when they were together.
Gavin being manipulative has got the info out of
her. Gavin has filled in the blanks and when Phil
at real rock bottom - spring his knowledge on Phil
and finish him and his opinion of himself .off
( mentally at least)

Thats just an idea I mull over now and again.
A story with Jay wouldnt necessarily affect my idea!
Have to wait to see how extreme Gavin becomes
( if he does)
