Paddy Kirk has to deal with even more fallout from his affair as Tess Harris's husband Pierce finally discovers the truth.

The trouble flares up when Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) pays an unexpected visit to the village to seek answers from Paddy and Rhona, asking whether Tess was cheating on him before she died.

Pierce is suspicious after finding Tess's secret 'affair phone' and wants to know who the other man was, so Rhona (Zoe Henry) agrees to meet up with him the next day so they can discuss the matter further.

Rhona intends to persuade Pierce that he needs to let it go and save himself any further pain, but can't resist asking to see the phone herself. When she reads the messages that Tess was sharing with her mystery man, Rhona gets emotional and suddenly blurts out that it was Paddy.

Not long afterwards, Paddy is in The Woolpack talking to Marlon when a raging Pierce arrives and punches him - knocking him straight to the floor. How far will Pierce go with his thirst for revenge?

Cain Dingle is far from stupid and he knows his troublesome ex Charity better than anyone.

That’s why it doesn’t take long for him to cotton on that she has allied herself with Ross Barton again – and is using Moira’s barn to hide her dodgy goods.

As a smug Charity basks in the money that she and Ross are making with their underhand deals, her driver Jez drops off more items for her.

But when she returns to the barn to check on it all, she is shocked to find it empty of everything except Cain, who is lying in wait to confront her and warn her off working with Ross.

Later, as Cain and Moira once again cross swords over Charity, they are stunned to discover that their car has gone missing and automatically assume that Ross is involved.

As both Ross and Charity deny any knowledge, Cain doesn’t know what to believe. But when he later spots his car speed past him, he urges Moira to follow it.

As they chase it down, it skids to a halt and they prepare to confront the driver. But will it be Ross they find inside – or someone else?

Laurel and Ashley's wedding reception is in full swing at The Woolpack, but the bride and groom are absent.

Everyone discusses where Laurel and Ashley are, but Sandy thinks they should just let them be.

Meanwhile, Belle and Lisa are furious when they discover that a skint Joanie has landed herself a new job at the factory. Lisa confronts Joanie, who insists that she has little choice because of Kyle. Later, Belle is shocked when Lisa suggests that she may sell the house so Zak and Joanie can be out of their way once and for all.

Elsewhere, Liv gives Gordon information about Aaron and Robert, hoping something will help get him off.

Also today, Chrissie is happy when Lawrence agrees to keep Andy on.

Paddy and Rhona are both pleased to be making some progress as they agree to meet for lunch. Paddy suggests they should go away to Paris for the weekend, but the moment is ruined when Pierce turns up and asks if Tess was having an affair before she died.

It turns out that Pierce has found Tess's second phone and has come to Paddy and Rhona for answers, knowing they were friends with Tess. Paddy is horrified when Rhona agrees to talk with him about it tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Charity demands to see the business accounts for the haulage firm, but Jimmy is hopeful when a pleased Nicola tells him that she's made a fake set for her. But will Charity figure this out?

Elsewhere, Lisa reassures Belle that they'll find somewhere else to live, while Joanie also tries to convince Zak that selling the house is a good move.

Also today, Charity gets Ross on side to help her with something.

Paddy worries about Rhona seeing Pierce, but she assures him that she only wants to convince him to let his suspicions go. However, when Rhona meets Pierce, she reads Tess's messages from her 'mystery man' on the secret affair phone. Struggling to contain her emotions, Rhona blurts out that it was Paddy who Tess was having an affair with.

Later, Paddy is in the pub when a fuming Pierce arrives and punches him, knocking him to the floor…

Meanwhile, Nicola thinks she's got one over on Charity as she hands her a copy of the fake accounts, but Charity has already figured out what's going on. Soon afterwards, Cain works out that Ross and Charity are dodgy dealing together. When Charity goes to the farm later on, she finds the barn empty, with Cain in wait. She has been caught and Cain warns her about working with Ross. Afterwards, Charity heads to find Nicola and Jimmy and makes her demands.

Elsewhere, Lisa insists to Zak that she deserves a new life too and sets to work on painting the house.

Also today, Pollard is unimpressed when he's called to the pub to discuss the ceremony for Val's gravestone erection tomorrow.

Vanessa is shocked when Nicola tells her about Paddy and Tess's affair. When Rita the social worker arrives, Vanessa is further shocked to realise that Rhona is still going through with the adoption. She's surprised to learn the extent of Paddy's affair and can't understand why Rhona would carry on as normal.

Later, Rhona tells Paddy that Rita is coming round and she wants them to present a united front. But can they really paper over what has happened?

Meanwhile, Moira and Cain argue about Charity using the barn to hide her stuff.

Elsewhere, Val's headstone arrives at the graveyard and everyone is taken aback by how big it is. Tracy tries to stall the driver as an AWOL Pollard is still not there.

Also, Belle asks for a full-time job at the factory and clearly has a plan in mind.

Finally, Chrissie confides in Andy about how she fears Robert will take her for everything he can get in their divorce settlement meeting, while Nicola and Jimmy try to persuade Charity not to sell her share of the business.

Holly Barton has returned to the village. Moira and Adam are pleased to see her back, but Cain secretly has his doubts about her motives for returning.

Later in the pub, Holly tells Adam that she's not sure about Cain anymore. Adam reminds her that Cain saved her life. Not long afterwards, Holly takes a phone call outside and promises to get the money she owes. It's clear that she's come back with more baggage than she's letting on.

Meanwhile, Rhona goes to see Vanessa and explains that the adoption is off. Vanessa advises her to leave Paddy if she can't see a way back. Later, Rhona tells him Paddy that she'd like them to try and make things work, but she wants them to move to Germany. Will Paddy be willing to move abroad?

Elsewhere, David takes drastic action to stop the crane driver putting Val's headstone in place as Pollard still isn't there. Later, David is worried about Pollard's very odd behaviour.

Also, Belle is annoyed that Lisa has put the house up for sale and is already packing, while Leyla is irked as Tracy flirts with David.

Moira is thrown when Holly introduces her to her 'boyfriend' Dean. Once alone, Dean tells an intimidated Holly that he's there debt collecting.

Recalling that Charity is still in love with Cain, Holly tries to strike a deal with her, telling her that she can help her get Cain back for a price. Will Charity take the bait?

Meanwhile, Paddy and Rhona tell Marlon they want to go to Germany for six months, but he lays down the law and tells them they can't take Leo with them. Later, Carly suggests to Marlon that it might be a good thing if Leo ends up with three happy parents again. Will Marlon change his mind about the trip?

Elsewhere, Megan is happy to bring Eliza home, but Jai is thrown when she tells him they're fine on their own.

Also today, Ashley is overwhelmed when Laurel shows off her scan picture.

Is it Holly who takes the car?

Spoilers say that Cain's car "goes missing" during the Thursday 24 March 7pm episode and that Holly "has returned to the village" in the Thursday 24 March 8pm episode.

Holly has debts owed to "boyfriend" Dean. I don't for now think Dean is really her boyfriend though.

Holly is definitely a suspect for me too for taking Cain's car without consent. Spoilers also say that Holly uses Charity in a while to get money from Charity in return for wrecking Moira and Cain's marriage.

Holly left Emmerdale in 2012 with her sister to study at university in London. Holly has a previous history of heroin drug addiction.
