Coronation Street's Roy Cropper will find out his estranged father St John has died in an upcoming storyline.
He will then pay a visit to the place where he has been buried. David Neilson and Julie Hesmondhalgh were recently spotted filming the scenes on-location.
Pictures of the gravestone reveal that St John only died in February, meaning that Roy will have narrowly missed out on a chance of a reunion with his father.
The grave says 'Father to Jonathan, Stephen, Isabelle and Royston', indicating that there are other siblings that Roy currently has no contact with.
A Coronation Street insider told Inside Soap: "Roy has a lot of thinking to do - this is a whole side of his family he has no relationship with. It's a big step to make contact. Is Roy ready?
"It's clearly a sad moment for Roy as he lays some flowers down on the grave. Thankfully, Hayley is by his side to help him cope."

You come with me now: Deirdre grabs Roys arm and appears to lead him back to Coronation Street
Looking forward to seeing this. Haven't been on here for a while but I've converted from EastEnders to Coronation Street. Sylvia isn't as good as Blanche in my opinion, but I do enjoy watching her. Loved the time that she started charging for everything in the cafe. I wonder if this will lead to some distance between them again; I remember Sylvia entering after Roy hadn't turned up to his step father's funeral. I can imagine Sylvia not going to the funeral and bringing that up for some reason.

Coronation Street star Stephanie Cole has left the soap. :(
The actress, who plays Roy Cropper's no-nonsense mother Sylvia Goodwin, recently filmed her character's departure.
Sylvia's exit scenes will air on screen this month, forming part of her daughter-in-law Hayley's cancer storyline, according to The Sun.
Writing on Twitter today (August 2), a Coronation Street spokesperson confirmed that Cole has finished filming "for the time being".
Cole was cast in Coronation Street in December 2010 and made her first appearance as Sylvia the following April.
Her major storylines have included bonding with Roy, facing up to the truth of Hayley's past, and finding love with wealthy Milton Fanshaw.
More recently, Sylvia has been supporting the Croppers following Hayley's pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
Oh no poor Roy how will he cope now hopefully she will be back
