Rihanna 'agrees to dump' Chris Brown
Rihanna has decided to end her relationship with Chris Brown following their alleged altercation last weekend, according to a report.
Brown was arrested on February 8 amid claims that he had turned violent in an argument with the 'Disturbia' singer.
The News Of The World has now suggested that Rihanna considered taking Brown back following the incident, but changed her mind following discussions with her family and close friends.
An insider revealed: "Rihanna really did think that Chris was the love of her life. But when everyone started to question their relationship, she burst into tears and reluctantly agreed that they were right. She just can’t believe it's ended this way."
Brown's father recently insisted that the R&B star is "very remorseful", but warned that there are "two sides to every story".
Stringfellow weds on Valentine's Day
Peter Stringfellow has reportedly tied the knot with his 27-year-old girlfriend during a Valentine's Day ceremony on Barbados.
The 68-year-old nightclub boss began dating Bella Wright five years ago after she quit the English National Ballet to work at his London lapdance club.
An onlooker told the Sunday Mirror that the former ballerina was "radiant - and stunning in her tiny swimsuit".
Stringfellow, who has been married twice before, is apparently "besotted" with his new wife and said: "I'll never want to be with anyone more than I want to be with Bella. I love Bella."
A friend added that the age gap between the two no longer bothers either of them.
Osmond reveals undetected birth defect
Jimmy Osmond has revealed that he had no idea he had a hole in his heart until he suffered a stroke at the age of 40.
The youngest of The Osmonds, who is currently appearing as the Teen Angel in the West End version of Grease, said that he was overcome with a blinding headache five years ago as he was recording his TV show Jimmy Osmond's American Jukebox.
The 45-year-old told the Mail On Sunday that doctors decided to examine his heart after diagnosing the stroke.
"I'd been feeling pretty exhausted and assumed the stroke had been something to do with that," he said. "Yet I had never had high blood pressure, high cholesterol or any other problems that could have given any clues as to why I would have a stroke. The doctors decided to take a look at my heart."
A scan revealed a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) - a hole in the wall separating the upper chambers of the heart. It was a birth defect that had never been discovered.
Osmond has since vowed to enjoy life in moderation, exercise more and look after his health. "I am getting things under control. I think that I have finally realised that I can have it all - just not all at once," he said.
A stroke at age 40
Bay City Roller victim of teen 'gay rape'
Bay City Rollers singer Les McKeown has revealed that he was raped by another man at the age of 19.
The star admitted that he was drugged and sexually abused while touring with the band in America 30 years ago.
"Date rape is the best way I can think of to explain how I was cajoled into a situation through drugs into having sex with another man," he explained in a new documentary for Living TV.
"It happened in America in a hotel room. I was given Quaaludes, a drug for lowering your inhibitions and making you horny.
"Afterwards I felt really used and abused. I never told anybody about it, not even the other guys in the band, because I was ashamed."
McKeown, who is the only original member still in the band, admitted that the experience made him question his sexuality.
"Maybe part of the shame was that I actually enjoyed it. Before that, I always thought I was straight, but what was happening to me was very erotic and I felt pleasure from it," he said.
"Now I think a lot of the shame I've felt ever since has to do with the person who did that to me. I hated him. I tried to drink it away and push that memory into obscurity."
The Bay City Rollers sold over 300 million albums worldwide after rising to fame in the 1970s with hits including 'Shang-A-Lang' and 'Bye Bye Baby'.
Vera Lynn 'consults lawyers over BNP'
Dame Vera Lynn has consulted her legal team after the British National Party (BNP) used two of her performances on a compilation CD without her permission.
The BNP has named the album White Cliffs Of Dover after the 91-year-old's famous wartime song and also includes her version of 'All Alone In Vienna' on the disc.
Lynn's tracks feature alongside songs from other artists including The Andrew Sisters and Glenn Miller.
Her solicitor Nigel Angel said: "Her position is that the song was included without her approval. She does not align with any political party. I will be discussing it with her further."
Her MP Norman Baker added: "The BNP will try to imply they have the support of individuals by this kind of action when they clearly don't have their support - it's extremely regrettable."
Defending the move, BNP deputy leader Simon Darby commented: "It is a commercially available piece of music and it is not as if we have bootlegged it.
"It is something you could buy off Amazon and we are proud to stock. There are a number of songs on the album and by no means are we implying Dame Vera is a nationalist."

'Rihanna' picture 'leaked to press'
A photograph supposedly of Rihanna taken in the aftermath of the alleged attack on her by Chris Brown has been leaked to the media.
The image, which was published on TMZ yesterday, shows what appears to be the singer with cut lips and bruises on her face.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said: "The unauthorised release of a domestic violence photograph immediately generated an internal investigation.
"A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination."
He added that the LAPD "takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence".
Earlier this week, reports suggested Rihanna felt that Brown should have "expressed more contrition" in his public statements following the incident.
Kelly Osbourne 'leaves rehab'
Kelly Osbourne has reportedly completed her latest spell in rehab.
The DJ voluntarily entered a treatment centre in the LA area last month, suffering from an undisclosed addiction.
According to Metro, the 24-year-old has now completed the programme and was seen out shopping in Malibu with her mum Sharon.
The former X Factor judge previously said that she was proud of her daughter for recognising that she needed help.
The stint is Kelly's third in rehab. She completed treatment for an addiction to prescription painkillers in 2004 but was reported to have admitted herself to a clinic the following year after relapsing.
Oldie honours Sachs and Sergeant
Actor Andrew Sachs and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Sergeant were among the winners at the Oldie Awards ceremony in London.
Sachs, who was at the centre of the Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand phone calls row, won granddad of the year.
Sergeant, who eventually bowed out of BBC One's ballroom dancing show despite huge support, won hoofer of the year.
The awards are given out every year by The Oldie magazine to well-known older citizens who have made the headlines.
'All in the past'
Other winners included novelist Sir Terry Pratchett, named campaigner of the year for raising awareness of Alzheimer's Disease which he suffers from.
"I was a grumpy old man as well. I'm quite happy to be an oldie," said the 60-year-old writer.
Former Fawlty Towers star Sachs was given his prize for his "dignified response to the BBC furore surrounding phone calls about his granddaughter".
He explained that he wanted to put the incident behind him, and said: "I don't harbour grudges, it's happened, there we are, it's all in the past."
Sergeant said that his unconventional yet popular stint on Strictly Come Dancing had been "a great triumph".
"A mistake that some people made is that they seemed to think I was a bad dancer. Now I don't know how they got that impression, I did everything I could to stop that," he added.
Other winners included Liberal Democrat treasury spokesman Vince Cable for predicting the economic downturn, and writer Diana Athill for her memoirs of old age.
The event, which was founded in 1992, was hosted by Sir Terry Wogan.
  Well done to all of them.
Farah Fawcett says goodbyes as cancer takes hold
Farah Fawcett has reportedly dismissed her staff and said farewell to her friends as she prepares to die from cancer.
The Charlie's Angels actress said her goodbyes before flying to Germany, where she will undergo experimental treatment in a last-ditch attempt to battle the disease.
A friend told the Sunday Mirror: "Farrah is feeling very alone. She doesn't want friends to see her with no hair and she's coming to terms with her impending death. She has got rid of all her staff and she has told friends it is likely she won't come back. She is exhausted and very ill."
Fawcett, 62, was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and was given the all-clear a year later following treatment. The cancer, which Fawcett calls the "terrorist inside my body", returned in 2007.
Another person dying of this terrible disease :(
Beaten up Rihanna won't press charges
POP star RIHANNA has told police she does NOT want to press charges against boyfriend CHRIS BROWN for allegedly battering her.
The 21-year-old is refusing to help with their investigation after rekindling her romance with the singer.
But detectives may still have a case against Brown, 19, and will hand their file to the Los Angeles County District Attorney later this week.
A police source said: “Rihanna says she doesn’t want to testify against him. She has had a change of heart and doesn’t want the case to proceed.
“However detectives are still building their case based on what she originally told them and accounts of witnesses.
“If the DA decides they have enough evidence, they can proceed without Rihanna’s testimony.”
Brown was said to have beaten her in a row after a pre-Grammys party on February 8.
Shocking pictures emerged of the Umbrella singer’s injuries — which included bruises to her eyes, nose and cheek and a swollen mouth.
But the couple began to make up when he called on her birthday last week and deluged her with gifts.
They were reunited in Miami during a stay at rapper SEAN "DIDDY" COMBS’ £14million home.
They flew to LA together on Monday.
Her family are said to be upset about the couple’s reconciliation.
A relative told a US magazine: “No one wants them back together. I don’t want her to make a mistake, and I don’t want her to ever go through this again.”
Fans have launched a web petition urging her not to get back with R&B star Brown.
It says on website dontdoitrihanna.com: “We the undersigned feel Chris Brown should not get another chance and Rihanna should move on.”
