Well that was a lovely episode of Baurel & Debbie Dale. Not. :wall::wall:
Sorry, but Harriet is dressed more like a lady biker than a Vicar and she should mind her own business. :nono:
If this is what we’ve got to look forward to for the rest of the week I don’t think I’ll bother. :(
It amuses and annoys me to watch the great lengths that Emmerdale are going to in order to try to justify Debbie getting away with what she did with no serious legal penalty. They have thrown the 'twists and turns' book at this story line but it's not working for me.
The repeated stupidity of the police is not realistic and not acceptable with such a serious 'acid attack' incident. The £100,000 reward for Simon is a joke too far, especially as it does not really serve plot or character development. Putting Debbie back with Joe, with all the material rewards she has been getting from him, is offensive given their recent history and is an equivalent to Simon's £100,000 for her. I could go on.
My heart really goes out to all those out there watching all this whilst suffering from the consequences of an acid attack, victims and families and friends. Whoever is responsible for this rubbish should be ashamed.
Agree with everything you say here. I also think that sometimes they are not even consistent with the acid attack scars on Ross’s face, there are some scenes where they are worse than others. I, like you, feel very sorry for real life suffers who may be watching this and wondering just what this storyline has to do with the after effects of such a attack. It is just absolute rubbish how it’s portrayed.:nono:
It really is. We all expect Soapland to take some liberties with reality for dramatic reasons, but not like this and not for such a serious story line. It's just awful and betrays the fact that it was used to get media attention and that's all. If it was about more than that, then we would have been told a different story and a better one.
Has IM actually shown any ‘serious issue’ storyline through to a believable conclusion? I dread to think what sort of things he’ll get the characters to do in Corrie. :(
Am I the only one that feels quite nauseous while watching this Laurel & Bob stuff? Just what is so special about Bob?

Thanks for the links, yet again , Eddy.👋
Looks like this Terry guy isn’t all he seems to be. There’s a surprise.
Typical comment from MP - if he wins Best Actor he may be persuaded to stay. The words, big-headed and manipulation, comes to mind. You would never hear Ryan say something like that.
Not a lot of mention of the boys but I’m sure they’ll be involved in those stories somewhere along the way.
There's stuff there that I'm looking forward to, but there's far too much that I am thoroughly bored with, for example the Debbie nonsense. Just because Sarah is angry with her does not mean that she is being punished for what she did! Emmerdale must think we are all stupid if they really believe we will buy that.
As for Michael Parr, I've never really liked him. I've always hated the way he cruelly trolled young Robron fans on twitter, especially after the ONS. He knew these youngsters were upset but he continued making cruel jokes. Not nice at all.
I agree with you on all points. I know technically Debbie did not ask the guy to throw acid but she is still responsible for it happening. She was the one who started it off. It will be good to see if Sarah’s character changes as she was beginning to turn into a mini version of her Mother which was not good to see. Justice needs the be done properly.
I’m particularly bored with the big love interest of Laurel and Bob.
Michael Parr has always been sarcastic in things he has said, just to gain attention, which is very unprofessional in my eyes. I actually won’t miss his character when he leaves.
It’s going to be a long week waiting for the boys to reappear. :(
BIB - You are correct. For such a serious story line, justice must be done, even if that means that Debbie is written out for a few years. This is not an ordinary soapy issue that Emmerdale chose to feature and use for publicity. Important messages need to be clearly sent out and it's nor too late for this to be done. Something like a police 'breakthrough' or Simon bragging about how he got his £100,000 could bring about the desired goal.
I'll just add that we now know that the village will find out what happened next week. Are we supposed to believe that not one person will inform the police about the acid attack confession? Come on Emmerdale!
Emmerdale stars to take part in charity football match
Story here, together with a pic of a rather muddy Danny Miller.
Hi Fellow Robroners of topic finally watched Endevour and Steven flynn ep it wasnt very long clip ? was he the one with the mummy and they set the mummy on fire ? or was he another char ? i seen his credit at the end yeah i always thought he be back in Endvour this year for when they celebrate 30 years of morse? matty
Hi:cheer: that went quick when Liv comes back next week that be a lovley Robron momment when they collect Liv from the detantion unit yeah i wonder if we get to see Robron at Gerry`s funneral next week it only says Aaron+Liv in the spolier clips Rob would surly be there to yeah?
Hi Matty - I think that was the scene with him yes, during the making of the movie. He wasn’t on very much. I think there was a scene with a group of the characters but he didn’t say anything. It was kind of a blink and you would miss him appearance during the whole thing.
Hi - Robron did tell her that if she kept out of trouble that she’d get out and serve the rest of her sentence on license, but I think she’s maybe still got out earlier - possibly because of the funeral as well. I do hope we see her collected by both the boys. I’m sure Robert will be at the funeral. You can’t always take notice of the photos of the scenes as the true thing, often they look completely different. It would be strange if he wasn’t.:hmm:

I think that is disgraceful that Harriet and Vanessa did something like that behind Charity’s back. Harriet is supposed to be a Vicar with compassion and feeling for her parishioners, where does that give her the right to interfere in that way and to discuss that with anyone.:nono:
Emma Atkins continues to put in superb performances. Both her and the actress that played young Charity were excellent tonight.
However I was not too impressed with the 'special'. We already knew most of the back story. What we did not already know, we could have just been told about just as we were told the rest of it. As for the twist, it was obvious from the moment the baby was first mentioned. To be honest, I was a little bored tonight.
it was rather expected that the child had survived. I have to say I didn’t particularly enjoy that episode. I feel that it might have actually worked better if they’d done it all in flashback and just had current day Charity as a voice over and not kept going back and forth to current day scenes and not had Vanessa making her comments throughout. That’s just my opinion, others may think differently.
hello everyone :cheer:
caught up with last nite and watched tonite live
agree with you guyz that it was so obvs that the baby survived so he must be grown up now and will turn up soon :searchme:
I thought the flashback would be more like the previous one with Faith actually and it was maybe bit of wasted chance although Emma was great and also Mica :)
Hi new poster here
I wish they would give Aaron and Robert a new and interesting storyline.
Just for them. No Liv, no Seb and no Rebecca.
Hello and welcome. Thank you for joining us. :)
I agree with you. Aaron and Robert are a new young couple, yet the only stories that they have involve others, Liv, Seb and Rebecca. All they are doing is reacting to other people's problems and it's getting a little tiresome.
Thank you all for welcoming me here:)
morning my friends :cheer:
been catching up with linkys and scans elsewhere but expect eddie will be posting them soon (not usually ahead of you mista e lol)
I said before that Gerry's drawing book would have more to and it he might even have drawn how he thought of Lachlan taking the wheel
I wondered if anyone know if the actor who will play Debbie's son has acp himself? if he has fair play to him cos I think that not only does it affect how you walk but also speech so very hard for an actor. it could be really interesting how the charecter fits into the family but trouble is ed sometimes start off well with worthwhile sls but then let them fade away
also it was so obvs from start that there would be probs with chas's baby but will things be so bad that she has to decide whether to keep it? bit topical here atm
Hi Micheal👋
There must be something in the drawing book as Lachlan is desperate to get it back so maybe he knows there’s something incriminating in there.
You are ahead with the scans etc as I haven’t read the bit about Debbie’s son, unless I’ve missed it or it didn’t register in my mind.
You’re right about Chas’s baby, we said at the start it wouldn’t be straightforward and I think it will probably lead to a final break up for her and Paddy, but I could be wrong.
It’s hard to get through the week without the boys but at least we’ve got them to look forward to next week and also Ryan on our tv in the Soap Awards night at the weekend.
I think it's a real shame they didn't do a surrogate storyline with Aaron and Robert. There is so many interesting things they could have done with that story.
I hope she leaves with Ross.
I don't think it's nice having her around.
