The Equality Act 2010 requires businesses to make reasonable adjustments that give everyone equal access to their services. As the pub is now a new building it must now have wheelchair access in line with wheelchair regulations UK.

Which makes it all the more puzzling why Charity would want to take it on, knowing she would have to spend money complying with this act, on top of the money she will need to make good the fire damage. There is no new supply of customers to fill the pub, and increase profits.
Does the Malt Shovel still exist?
I am not sure how much more a wheelchair ramp would cost when the pub needs rebuilding from scratch....since Covid-19 threw a spanner into the works none of the hospitality businesses have been busy, I also doubt that an Indian restaurant would survive without selling alcohol but then I have never come across a hostelry with no booze licence ever before. If you consider the amount of folk that live AND work in Emmerdale village, it is surprising how any of them make a living and I dare say, that goes to all other soaps. Yet instead of having coffee/tea or breakfast at home, they go to the local cafe... guess just something we need to accept as being normal

Charity also said that work needed to be done to the doors and the toilets, she mention ?15,000, which I think was on top of the building work. Considering that Cain bumped up the price at the auction, this seems to contradict what we have always been told, that she is a good business woman.
Now it is possible we will see Chastity take over running the B&B to give her the two incomes need to buy a house. The B&B which I think only has about 3 or 4 rooms so how much could Eric afford to pay her?
no interest in chas charity war or meena manpreet war, why are the police bothering with meena who looks well for prison and many visits
Are they changing Emmerdale from a Soap to a Sitcom, a not a very good sitcom at that. Comedy arguments between Charity and Chastity, Rhona's comedy mother, Meena's prison visits, not to forget Mandy's engagement for married Liv and Vinny . None of this bears much resemblance to reality. Meena's story should have ended with her going to trial, found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. For her to claim it was Manpreet who killed Andrea is a stretch too far. After all she kidnapped Dawn and Billy and shot Leyla, there is no arguing about that, so it is unlikely anyone would believe her latest claim. Has she been examined by a psychiatrist to determine her mental state?
Not happy with the change of schedule to a direct clash with Eastenders.
Pollard to Charity - 'You've got a well worn front entrance and a loose back door.'
Emmerdale shows a farcical episode
chas is always miserable
harriet the copper vicaring on the side charles back up and wendy fake nurse also receptionist
Not really impressed with the latest offering. Does Mandy Dingle think she is a Pearly Queen ?
Why was Charity so keen to have a pub full of Dingles expecting free food and free drinks ?
Oh Great, just what we needed, another food fight, been ages since we had one of these. Well - August 2021 to be exact. Have they no imagination. Would rather have seen The Woolpack shut for good if this is what happens when they have "Grand Reopening".
Come on Charity. Just offer Chastity the managers job again. You know you want to.
Will Mack be back? - Hope not.
Is the Glasgow Tourist Board sponsoring the show now?
dawn should just grass up the real father not be stupid to sell his drugs
Does Marlon only have one tenant (Ryan) in his house now or has he moved into the pub.
Isn't his mate Paddy looking for somewhere to live with his family?
Where is Bear and Faith living?
good on dawn grassing
You know the UK Justice System is in a state, when prison officers ask prisoners if they are ready to go to court. Wondering what happens if they say "No".

Not if the birth father gives his consent, and sometimes even if he doesn't according to Gov.uk
Adoption without your consent
A court can decide the adoption can go ahead without your consent if:
it thinks the child would be put at risk if they were not adopted - it will send you the evidence they have been given, for example from social services
you?re incapable of giving consent, for example due to a mental disability
