they would if Claire was dead, he would be a widower, and they thought she was dead??
Im pretty sure I remember them getting divorced
I dont thonk Claire should return to Hollyoaks after all Max is dead there is no friends or relatives there for her unless she comes back for revenge on Justin and Warren
I dont think she will return. You cant jump for soap to soap like that. It would be really confusing. Viewers will be watching the same sort of character with the same gold digging nature and same name on two different soaps months apart.
She shouldn't return.
There is no reason for her to return
There is too much tits and ass on show in Hollyoaks already :thumbsdow
In an interview with digital spy gemma said this:-
Is there any chance you may return to Hollyoaks or EastEnders?
"There is a good chance. I can't say any more than that or give anything away. Watch this space is all I'll say! I've got things coming up. You definitely haven't seen the end of Gemma Bissix in soapland this year, but I can't tell you what, where or which one. That's all I can tell you, but that's a nice little treat for you."
SBBB - Next Clue - Eastenders. Out with the new and in with the old?
Given her swift exit on Dancing On Ice, a new contract may not be in the pipeline for her. She wasn't on the show long enough, to create a bigger profile for herself and attract viewers.
Soap star Gemma Bissix became the first female contestant to exit Dancing On Ice last night. Judge Ruthie Henshall claimed that nerves had got the better of the actress, while Jason Gardiner called her a "cardboard cut-out". Scoring only 13 points for her routine with Andrei Lipanov, the actress ended up losing out in a skate-off with Melinda Messenger. We gave her a call to find out whether she enjoyed her brief stint on the show.
How are you feeling about your exit after a day's reflection?
"If only you could see me now! I'm horizontal on a sofa in the ITV bar. I've had only an hour-and-a-half sleep, so I'm completely shattered. I am gutted that I am not part of the show any more. But I watched the repeat back last night and I'm proud of myself, because I did the best I could possibly do. I wasn't the worst skater last night, so I've gone out with my head held high. I mean - Christ - I was like Bambi six weeks ago!"
Did you think you would be in the bottom two this week?
"My first skate wasn't as good as it could have been, so when we were second from bottom on the board, I thought it was almost guaranteed. It is such a shame. It takes over your life. You are skating three hours everyday and you begin living, breathing and eating skating. That was the biggest shock for me last night - the fact that it's all over. All the training and everything I've done, then in a click of a finger it's done."
Do the other contestants have any bad feelings towards Jessica because of her skating experience?
"People think that because Jessica was on a skating show before she has an advantage, but she only had ten days' training four years ago. If I had ten days' training four years ago, I would not have been any different. You are only as good as you can be."
Is it annoying as a contestant when people like Todd Carty and Coleen Nolan get saved by the public despite putting in weaker performances?
"John Sergeant has set the precedent. The public now realise that they have control on these shows. I think it's slightly disappointing, because if it wasn't like that I'd have been in a skate-off with Coleen and things may have been different. But we are all aware when we sign up for the show that it's the public who decide. I had posters up in my dad's bar and my cousin's school campaigned for me, so I can't complain."
At the start of your VT you sounded pretty confident about doing well on the show. Was it tougher than you expected?
"Definitely. I was very confident, but that's just me. I say a lot of things tongue-in-cheek, but the VTs are made to look a certain way. I did want to win - I wouldn't enter a competition if I didn't - but it is a lot harder than you think. It's a relief, in a way, that I can relax again and get some sleep. I can now sleep without dreaming about dance positions and kicking my boyfriend in the middle of the night! All of a sudden my legs kept going into spasm and I'd boot him the knee. He'll also be glad I'm not talking about skating any more."
There's a story today about the girls painting their nipples silver in case of wardrobe malfunctions. Is that true?
"I don't know what I can say. You can't make me be the one to say that! But it was something like that. Except it wasn't paint, it was jewels in places you can't see. I won't tell you where and what, but there was a bit of that going on - people sticking jewels in all sorts of places. But I didn't say that. I didn't tell you anything!"
What are your plans now you've left the show? Are you moving away from soaps?
"I don't know what I'm doing know. I was still employed by Dancing On Ice only a couple of hours ago. I've got a few things coming up like Celebrity Masterchef, which will air in March, but I'm trying to avoid the celebrity route. Ideally, this has boosted my profile and I would love to do a drama for ITV. The way the world is working, there's not many jobs around and you can't be too picky. You have to go where the work is and you only have a shelf life for a certain amount of time and if you end up being fussy, people won't want you any more and you are left with nothing."
Did you miss working on a soap over the festive period?
"I just miss acting. When I'm skating around on the ice, I'm just wondering, 'What am I doing? I am an actress!' It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm just so happy to be going back to my day job now. I've got the best money-per-hour apart from Graeme and the rest have got another ten weeks ahead of them. I'm not going to miss falling over on that ice!"
I think she could be back this year
Revenge on Justin and Warren maybe
What would be the point? Max is dead, OB's gone. Who's left to torture...poor old Steph?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
GROANS
what exactly would be the point in her coming back..???????
who has she got left to annoy??? no i hope she stays well away
poor tom if she returned ........hasnt he been thru enough?
I can't stand her ... she plays the same character in everything she's in!! I hope they don't bring her back :thumbsdow
Her stint in EE did not last long because she played the same type of person as in HO, it was not liked a lot by the look of things, bringing back people who are still the same does not work imo, because they are just repeating what they did already, look at Nick Cotton in EE
GEMMA Bissix is back from the dead and heading home to Hollyoaks.
Gorgeous Gemma, 25, right, most recently seen on ITV1’s Dancing On Ice, was a smash hit on the Channel 4 show as super-bitch Clare Cunningham.
She left late in 2007 with pals fearing Clare had died and been left in a watery grave.
But viewers saw her leaving with a rich businessman, jetting off to a new life in the sun.
Now with Hollyoaks producers chasing a new prime-time slot On Channel 4, Gemma is coming back.
An insider said: “Gemma was awesome as Clare and they want her back.
“Her contract is still being sorted but it’s virtually sealed.”
Soap comebacks aren’t unusual for Gemma who left Hollyoaks to make another soap return – to EastEnders.
She made a surprise re-appearance last February in Albert Square as Clare Bates, a role she first played between the ages of nine and 14.
Gemma left for a second time last summer.
Meanwhile soapland has been affected by the terrible weather in the last week – and worst hit were Gemma’s old haunts in Walford.
The show’s set in Elstree, Herts, was deluged with snow meaning that filming for some key outside scenes was thrown into chaos.
Why does she have to come back? :(
Eurghh. No thanks.
What is there left that she could possibly do?
are you all serious
this could be great!
It would be if Max and OB were there, but it doesn't really have the same effectiveness if they aren't. I would've loved to see their faces. Who's she going come back to terrorise? Her character will get boring after a while, and the storylines tedious and samey whereas last time it was a great storyline and she left with a bang.
I agree about Max and OB, but Warren and Justin are still there so it could be good. To be honest i've been growing bored of Hollyoaks for a while now so this is something to look forward to i think.
Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix is to make a surprise return to the show as superbitch Clare Devine.
The 25-year-old left the show in September 2007 when her character drove off a cliff in dramatic stunt which subsequently won 'Spectacular Scene Of The Year' at last year's British Soap Awards.
At the same ceremony, Bissix also walked away with the award for 'Best Exit'.
Clare's return to Hollyoaks village is to tie in with the departures of old flame Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and the man who pushed her off The Loft balcony, Justin Burton (Chris Fountain).
As part of their exit, Clare is hell-bent on revenge and Warren and Justin quickly become embroiled in a blazing fire at The Loft.
Bissix returns to filming at Hollyoaks' Liverpool home Lime Pictures next week and will reappear on screens at the end of May.
Only days after bowing out of the Channel 4 soap on screen in September 2007, it was announced that she was to reprise her role as Clare Bates in EastEnders. Her stay was short-lived, however, and she announced her decision to move on in May the following year.
More recently, she appeared in ITV skating show Dancing on Ice, where she was the first female contestant to be voted off.
So its happening then!
i'd have rather they not said, keep it a mystery who it was gonna be
I'd rather they never bring her back :thumbsdow
Gemma Bissix will make an explosive return to the Chester show.
The blonde bombshell's character Clare Devine will make a shock comeback as she plots her revenge on enemies Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas, 27) and Justin Burton (Chris Fountain, 21).
And with the two fellas leaving Chester, rumours are rife that Clare will kill off the pair in a fierce blaze that rips through the Loft nightclub.
Gemma, 25, was knocked out of Dancing On Ice in the first week.
She is reported to have been given a six-month contract.
Gemma left the soap in 2007 for her role as Clare Bates in EastEnders.
Hollyoaks actress Gemma Bissix has revealed that her character reappears in an "unhinged" state when she returns to the village next month.
The 25-year-old makes her comeback to the Channel 4 soap as Clare Devine to tie in with the departures of Chris Fountain (Justin Burton) and Jamie Lomas (Warren Fox).
An unstable Clare returns set on exacting revenge and quickly becomes involved in a blazing fire at The Loft nightclub.
Speaking of her return, she told PA: "It's exciting stuff to come back and play Clare. I don't think I've ever found a character like her - there's no limit as far as she's concerned."
She added: "In these episodes in particular, she's come back slightly unhinged and there isn't much that gets in her way and that's what I think is so exciting."
Bissix returned to filming earlier this month and reappears on screens during the final week of May.
Im guessing Warren and Justin are gonna be killed off then
Claire returns on screen Thursday the 28th of May - Warren is blindfolded and held captive and his captor is Claire

Promo of Warren's exit/Clares return.
Looks very very good.
Cannt wait until this airs, it looks amazing you dont really see Claire, but you just know that its her:cheer:
Warren dies, Fern Britton let the cat out the bag.
Chris Fountain said that his last scenes will be on 3rd June, which must mean he gets the blame for the fire.
I really dont want her back
but I stopped watching anyways
Superbitch Claire Devine returns on a campaign of death and destruction.
Viewers last saw her drugging and attempting to murder her ex-husband Max Cunningham by forcing him to drive their car off a cliff.
Her plans were thwarted when Warren Fox pushed her off a balcony.
Now she is back and her first act is to set fire to The Loft nightclub with Warren, Hannah Ashworth and Justin Burton trapped inside.
Our Hollyoaks insider said: “Claire knocks Warren unconscious, blindfolds him and ties him up before getting him to lure
Justin to The Loft and dousing the place with petrol.
“Then Hannah comes through the door and Claire knocks her out.
“Claire decides to be done with it and strikes a match.
“But Justin bursts in and spots Hannah. He ignores Warren’s plea to save him and when the floor falls through all seems lost.”
Our source added: “One of the group will fail to get out alive.”
Watch the climax on May 29.
