I think Ken is right.

I don't. I think he was very unkind and pretty vile saying it was Sinead's fault. Daniel is a grown man and it takes two to tango. Ken is a intellectual snob. Manchester Uni is pretty good too.
Has Daniel said what happened to his mother, Denise. How long was he left on his own?
This might have some bearing on why he says he wants his own family.
if ken hated weatherfield why didn't he ever leave, he could have gone off on the barge boat with one of his many ladies
daniel himself didn't look happy in the flat look around, he knows he is moving fast with sinead, is she his first girlfriend?
He had some valid points it is just the way he said them. Yes they are both responsible for the situation but if they did not use protection then there was always the morning after pill when they hoth realised what they have done. They have only been together for weeks it is hardly love . Strange that they keep using that word.
I did enjoy Todd having at dig a Phelan, especially the ghost references, they were pretty funny.
Todd: The Weatherfield Haunting. Amityville with hotpot.
I think it's time they reined in the violence on Coronation St. The vicious and unprovoked attack by schoolboy Seb on the schoolboy father of his school age girlfriend's child (!) was quite sickening. No dispute, grievance or argument is ever settled without violence, these days, which shows a real lack of imagination amongst the scriptwriters. Let's have more of the lighter stuff as referred to by RogerOver above, to balance out the darker storylines, and just drop the cartoon fisticuffs.
He did say though that he loved her deeply, but I guess he never went for the theatre shows and other cultural things he would have liked to go to because he knew Deirdre would not appreciate it the same he would have. I suppose despite his feelings for her, he also felt frustrated at not being able to do the things he would have enjoyed doing. He sees Daniel as a younger version of him and pointed out some valid points, however, he should have spoken to Daniel or both Daniel and Sinead rather than intimidating and bullying Sinead on her own.
My son (Tom) has just gone through a somewhat similar experience in the sense that he had been going out with a girl for about two years and they seemed to get on well. They were very fond of each other. She was (is) a very nice girl but his problem was the same as Ken's really. He has quite academic interests, especially history and astronomy and cosmology, but she had no interest in these things at all and is much more interested in going out and having a good time. Nothing wrong in that in itself of course, but Tom realised that a life time together just would not work and that he would eventually get bored not being able to talk about the things that interested him.
In the end they decided to call it a day. He was very cut up about it as he was, as I say, extremely fond of her, but the thought of a lifetime living with her was just something he realised wasn't going to work, so better to get out now than later.
It's this sort of thing that Ken has lived with all his life and what he wants to save Daniel from. I agree that he maybe didn't go about it the right way and was quite condescending and patronising to Sinead but basically, I think he was right.
Deirdre held Ken back.
Id rather Ken talk to my lady like that than burn my cash condemning to run for my life from a drug lord.
Ken is an intellect snob, always has been but then wasnt his last job pushing trollies at the local supermarket?
So how is Danielle going to pay his Oxford fees and support his kid? Cant be that bright a guy if he has never heard of contraception. So will Ken sell his house worth about two pence to help? Or is the baby to be terminated because the mother is too lower on the IQ scale.
Love it that Peter has strayed already, in your face Toyah, you know his back story of two wives but went with the walking lebedo anyway.
No Coronation Street until Friday. :( Pesky Football.
Academics are the least practical minded people i know.
Most of the couples i know are different from each other. My husband and I have two things in common ...our kids and an interest in local politics. The rest of the time we spend time separately with our friends who share our interests rather than each other. its worked for 26 years so far.
is one of the barlows going to kill ken he is roiling them all up
I am surprised he has not had another stroke!
That abortion was quick .. I thought you needed counselling before you could have one ..
It was a perfectly blended set of episodes on Friday. I do like what they have done with Tracey and I like how she is really missing Deirdre, who really was the only one that had unconditional love for her. A Mothers Love.
What did strike me that in Coronation St where have all the nice (decent) characters gone? There's not a community feel to the show anymore and not a very nice place to live now. Out of all the soaps I always would have wanted to live in Coronation St.
toyah moaning about peter to her husband :thumbsdow
who attacked ken, was it eccles
Running back to her ex and messing him around again.
Very clearly it was Adam. Andy is dead, Phelan would have made sure of that. Rob has blue eyes. Maybe Amy is responsible for what happened to her grandad? She looked guilty. Terrible if it is but she would be forgiven. Hopefully Ken doesn't die like that. Such a long career William Roche has had, I would be disappointed if that's that.
I think it was Adam that Amy called and left money for. Maybe Ken just slipped at the stairs when he heard noise from the back door (probably Adam)
I should care Ken was pushed down the stairs, but I don't. I salute who ever did it! They wouldn't have the nerve to kill the character off. :D
A cracking set of eps tonight. Loved Todd's reaction to Pat the Rat when he was about to throttle him. Todd looked as though he was going to kack his pants. Brilliant performance from Bruno.
I love what they have done with Tracey. Enjoyable double bill. And they flew by, another barometer on how good the show was. 9/10. Soap of the night. Kate Oates has finally got her act together.
Sorry but i'm disappointed with Billy! He said that Todd deserved being attacked! He knows Todd was scarred years ago!!
If he fell down the stairs and hit his head, wouldn't the injuries look the same? And surely if someone had hit him on head before the fall as well, man of his age would be dead by now.
So I just don't get it how the police would be able to tell that he was hit or pushed, instead of just slipping and falling.
"Who pushed Ken?" (Do we really care.) We should give a Blue Peter Badge to who ever did it.
It doesn't have quite the same punch as "Who shot JR?" does it. :)
Spoiler:
My money's on Max Branning....
